The actual Michelin guide needs to come here and give them a star because the food here is so amazing. The service here is awesome! They are so kind and friendly. We got the GI burgers with the salad instead of the fries. The salad pairs really well with the burger. We also got to wok tossed mussels, it was a little salty but nothing wrong with fresh seawater. The muscles in the clams from the clam chowder we got were so chewy and fresh. I love how fresh they were and how chewy they were. It's unbelievable. The clam chowder was season perfectly and the flavor was rich.Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Vancouver. It's in a little corner in Granville Island. Absolutely amazing experience.

We took a tour of Granville Island today and ate lunch here! Amazing food, excellent atmosphere and service! Just outstanding all around. For appetizers we ordered the raw oysters, and hummus. For entreés we chose Halibut and Arctic Char which were both fantastic. They each came with rice and local vegetables.

Incredible experience at the Sandbar! Amanda was fantastic and our service and food was spectacular! Highly recommend the dine out menu and brunch! Enhance to the surf and turf or sablefish. The patio has wonderful views and the experience was above and beyond! We will certainly be back!

Everything we ate was so good. Super fresh and flavourful. Definitely plan to drop some money while you're here because it is not cheap. Totally worth it though. The sablefish was a standout - like melt in your mouth good.

I know this is a tourist place but I was in the neighborhood and wanted to try it.The service was excellent. The atmosphere was wonderful and the food was absolutely dreadful. I had the salmon burger and it was quite greasy. My salad was very tired and I thought they had forgotten the dressing but I guess they make their salads buy putting the dressing on the bottom then putting the greens on top.

Top notch atmosphere, location, and seafood menu. Menu is simple, yet something for everyone and we each loved our dishes! The chowder and the hotpot however stood out. Not a bad seat, cozy spots throughout. Prices are reasonable given the quality experience and quality food.

It has to be the best seafood restaurant in grandville Island.I would recommend the dungeness crab, it's a bit pricey since it depends on market price.Clam chowder is a must as well. The crab cake was average.

Got a table for lunch and was seated quickly. Service was okay, we had to wait a bit for our orders to be taken and for the food to arrive. One of the servers spilled water on our table but was quickly addressed. However they made a mistake with our order and we had to wait even longer for our food to arrive. The scallops were delicious, but hard to mess up scallops, order a side of baguette to mop up the sauce with. The chowder was good but nothing impressive

We got the Sunday Seafood Boil. For the price point, it couldnt be beat. The lobster was cooked absolutely beautifully. The mussels were good and the oysters we got as an appetizer were as well. I think the boil could use some seasoning but otherwise great.
