Tangled Hair Studio

I really wanted to love this place. I’m desperately looking for a new stylist and the reviews here were so good. Made an appointment to get my dark hair a shade or so lighter. Arrived at the salon, it’s nice and clean, receptionist was lovely, super friendly and welcoming. Can’t remember the stylists name, but he seemed nice, we didn’t chat much but I told him I wanted to go a shade lighter. He did have an ear bud in while I was talking to him so not sure how much he heard. He coloured my roots the same colour as my hair was and sent me on my way. Looked the exact same as if I coloured it myself. I also requested a full head of colour. Got home and my husband assumed I didn’t go to the appointment after all and did it myself as there was dye all over my forehead and ears. Forgot to take a pic, I tried scrubbing it off but couldn’t get it all off. Took these photos the next day. Still searching for a stylist who’ll listen. I’ll go in for an in person consult next time.

THE REVIEWS DID NOT LIE!I have not gone to get my hair done for years due to a bad experience from a different salon. I am so happy I found Tangled. All of the staff were very professional and nice. They made me feel so comfortable throughout my appointment. Christina also did such an amazing job with my hair... it ended up exactly how I wanted it to look. This one haircut literally gave me the confidence I haven't felt in a while. 11/10. Would definitely recommend!

Today was my first time at Tangled and it was a FANTASTIC experience. Great atmosphere and wonderful staff. My stylist was Romel and my hair looks INCREDIBLE! Very professional and great advice given. Highly recommend. I look forward to my next visit! :)

I have been going here for years and Jim is my stylist. Jim is not only an amazing stylist his people skills are the best I’ve seen in years. He makes a woman feel beautiful when he is done. Jim makes you feel at home and at peace. And great on the eyes. I would highly recommend him.

To say I love coming to this salon is an understatement! I’m so happy I took a chance on this place last year. The location is great and super clean! The people in the salon are absolutely fantastic everyone is friendly. Christina is AMAZING! No wonder she books up fast! best haircut I have ever gotten in my life! More importantly the price points are extremely affordable. This is a salon who really cares about their clients pocket and doesn’t cut out quality. Just because the price is good doesn’t mean quality isn’t top notch! I have had way better service at this salon than any expensive ones I have tried over the year. Do yourself a favour and check this place out!

I went to Tangled about 2 weeks ago and had my hair cut/styled by Laura and I just wanted to leave a review to acknowledge what an incredible job she did!! This is by far my most favourite hair cut I’ve ever had, I absolutely love it!! I had very long hair before and I wanted it cut to just below my shoulders and I was so quiet when I left (just a bit shocked at the difference) that I don’t think I really expressed how amazing of a job Laura did, so I’m doing that now! Thank you SO SO much Laura!! Its perfect!! :)

I visited Tangled for a second time after an excellent first visit. The stylist who did my hair the first time was unavailable, so I had an appointment set up with Romel (apologizes if misspelled) instead. I'm always a bit anxious with a new hair dresser as I have had bad experiences in the past, but he did not disappoint when it came to the final cut. I love the end result and can honestly say that I have now had 2 wonderful experiences at this salon. The girl at reception is also absolutely lovely and warm, and going forward I intend to continue going to Tangled for all my haircare needs.

I had the pleasure of getting a haircut and style from Romel today. Needless to say he is one of the best stylists I've seen since moving to Durham 6 years ago. He is professional, polite and truly listens to what you are looking for. He can easily envision the look you are going for. I highly recommend Romel at Tangled, this is the first cut I've gotten in years that I am happy with.

Amazing experience each time we visit Tangled. Christina, Laura and Gina never disappoint. Today my mother and I had the pleasure of getting our hair done by Romel. Exceptional, well experienced hair stylist. Highly recommend!
