Hakim Optical Peterborough - Lansdowne

I had an excellent experience at hakim optical today. I went in hoping to get two pairs of sunglasses repaired. As it turns out, they needed screws and also for the prongs to be bent back into shape. Davina did this for me and also cleaned both pairs free of charge. In fact, she refused to take payment when I insisted. Davina and her fellow staff member were extremely helpful and friendly. I would absolutely recommend and will go back for sure.

We have been going to Hakim Optical for many years now . We recently moved to Peterborough and went to their location on Lansdowne st. We have always been happy with their service, quality and pricing. I have read the reviews and must agree with the older ladies attitude. She shouldn’t be dealing with the public . She never smiles, and talks to you like you are bothering her. When we returned to pick up the glasses she handed us the glasses without reading or fitting them?! Never has this ever happened to us at Hakim Optical. One of the glasses didn’t fit properly and were crooked. She grabbed them turned her back and pretended to fix them. They weren’t even warm to touch so we knew she did nothing. We now have to return again to get them fitted properly . It’s no wonder when we were there purchasing the glasses a customer requested to speak to the younger sales rep and said they didn’t want to deal with the older lady ! Now here I am in the same position. Why do they allow this to continue . The owner of this location should show up in disguise to see what we are talking about . This is your business not ours. Unfortunately, we are too far to travel to another Hakim Optical otherwise we would go there .

I've been going here for several years now and the service is top notch. Whether it was glasses or tricky contacts, they have always come through. Davina and the staff are fantastic at what they do.

I have been wearing progressive glasses for 25 yr and never have I had a worse pair than from Hakim. The frames they helped me pick out never fit right . Every time (6 times) I went back to get them adjusted they always said it was my fault, that I was trying to adjust them myself which is absolutely not true. I found the manager rude and condescending. Although the price was O K I would not recommend this location to anyone. Spend a little extra and get good service or at very least try a different location.

100% rating. I was recently away on a holiday and forgot my contacts at home (4 hours away). I called and spoke to Davina to see if there was any way of picking some up at another location, any expectation I had was blown away. She called a few locations to see who carried my exact contacts, called and asked which location would be best to pick them up from and made a follow up call to me to ensure that I had everything that was needed and I was able to get them without any hiccups.She was polite, professional and extremely happy to help. This is a rarity these days to have someone as amazing as her. Thank you so much Davina!

The people who work here are awesome. My mother in law didn’t have an appointment to bring her glasses in. She popped the lens out and lost a screw. I dropped them off for her. Not very long after they had her glasses fixed, a new case and all shined up with in mins. I will definitely bring her back for new glasses. Thank u so much :)

Exceptional customer service and knowledge from Optician Davina. Important medical information given to writer not disclosed by previous opticians! I highly recommend Hakim if you want the best for your eyes! I'm now a customer for life!

My glasses broke and my spares were 2 prescriptions old and I was due for an eye exam... Davina got me in at 10:30am and was out by 1:00 pm with exam and new glasses! Thanks so much! Made my day not so blurry!!!

I was just at Hakim Optical on Lansdowne Street in Peterborough and had a terrific salesperson help me. My glasses needed a simple repair (I had lost a screw that secured one of my glasses arms)and Leanne took me right away, fixed my glasses and didn't charge me, all in 5 minutes!Thank you, Leanne and Hakim Optical for such great service!
