Sunset Motel

The new owners are awesome! They gave us a free upgrade and took care of our every need and that’s not always easy with my diverse family.It’s not a perfect place but very clean. You definitely get your money worth. I have stayed here 4 times in 5 years. If you are looking for a comfortable, clean and cozy place to stay then you have found it. If you want fancy then go pay more somewhere else as you get what you pay for.

Stayed with my boyfriend for three nights at the motel and it was awesome! The new owners are super friendly and very accommodating, the room was spotless! Didn't expect to have a kitchenette standard in our room but it was a welcomed surprise! The mini fridge was more like a half fridge (tons of room) and even had an ice tray in the freezer which was perfect for keeping our cooler cold on our day trips around radium. Complete with coffee maker, hot plate and all the utensils two people would need on a short stay. Bed was very comfy too! Owners updated their WiFi and it works great, cute little courtyard with a BBQ, the a/c in our room kept the place nice and cold :) most definitely will stay again and certainly recommend to others!

We had checked into another hotel but found the condition of the room dirty and unacceptable. We asked the owner of the Sunset if he had any rooms. We luckily snagged his last one. It was very clean and comfortable. The owners are amazing and very caring. We'll be back

Decent location, cozy little cabins. Couldn't get the fan to work in the room, but the AC worked. Light was out in the bathroom, and I needed an extra blanket as my mother and I were sharing and I slept on the couch. I asked the owner for a blanket and mentioned the light and he provided me with both after a bit of a jab about bringing my own blanket. Mattress was a bit worn out, and so were the sheets. There was only one bag of coffee for the old plastic coffee machine, which wasn't really enough, but we made do. Kitchenette was fine, but no soap to do dishes. It was clean and cozy, but after tax, paying 150 for a night here was a bit much given all the issues we did have.

New owners are very helpful, friendly, and accommodating. This family run motel is a great price for its value. Rooms are clean, bed is very comfortable, and area is quiet. We had a great sleep and woke up refreshed. We will definitely book here again.

The room was spotless and a few dollars less than the competition. Combined with a guest BBQ grill, cable TV, and fairly fast wifi, you can't ask for more. We had booked for one night but later decided to stay a second night. The owner said he was booked but to give him a few minutes to see if he could do something. A bit later he had us booked in the same room for the second night saving us from having to move.Situated off 93/95 it was pretty quiet too. So if you're looking for clean, quiet, good price, good wifi, you can't go wrong here!

It is small but really comfortable. Fridge, microwave in rm. Really clean. Owners are very friendly and helpful - upgraded me wihout request because they could. Prices are fantastic! I would absolutely stay again!

The rooms are nicely kept and the owners are exceptional people who are masters at customer service. A great experience staying here, and would definitely do it again if/when coming back to this beautiful part of BC.

Cute little place to stay, we stayed here for Sept long weekend amazing service the new owners very personable, Richard and Cathy are very nice, helpful and wants nothing but the best for your stay. Keep in mind it’s an older property with not all the fancy bells and whistles but who needs that, in today’s days you should be after clean, comfortable and NO BUGS!!! You will find all that and more at this little hideaway in Radium!! Don’t hesitate to stay here you won’t regret it !!!!

The very best host in town!!We traveled for hot spring last weekend. We normally go 4 times a year and stay the same hotel as usual, but this time, that hotel was fully booked, so we took a chance and tried this Sunset Hotel. It was SO great experience. The owner knew we traveled with two young kids and wanting to borrow the kitchen, so they gave us a free room to use the kitchen. We all know how hard it is to travel with two young kids, so this unexpected action really made us speechless. And for sure, they got our business and for sure we will recommend anyone and everyone to go to this place for evenings. They may not have the very best equipment and hardware in town, but they have the very BEST and MOST BEAUTIFUL heart in town for sure!
