Extremely disappointed with service. Assistant manager Nicole Fraboni sent me an extremely rude email. Did not address me by name in email, email was simply a cold factual statement. Zero customer service, I emailed back asking for managers name and contact and Nicole never returned my email. Sent another email 2 days later and received an automatic message saying she was out of office. I’m disappointed that customer service doesn’t seem to be a thing anymore and people (especially working with the public) can’t even be kind or empathetic to others.Very very disappointed.

Worst experience I could have imagined setting up my first mortgage. I was assured by the mortgage banker that since it was our first time that she would take care of everything. We were notified when we first started the process that she was new at this position but was not new to banking. This made us nervous but we were reassured time and time again that she knew what she was doing. That was our first mistake trusting that she would take care of things. Everything was done last minute and by email only. Every deadline we had we were notified by the lawyer who said our banker should have notified us. The mortgage banker would not return our phone calls. And when I escalated this issue to the bank manager in lack of response from her. There was no response from the bank manager..but he must have told her to finally contact us because we started to get call from the mortgage banker. The stress that was put on myself and my husband unnecessarily made this experience horrible. I do not recommend coming to the BMO to do your mortgage set up with Lori Martin EVER!!!!

The worst personal banker Grace Forster. Started my mortgage on end of October. She sent me some paper work to fill and disappeared. No emails reply, no phone answer.I had to contact to the worst manager assistant Nicole Frabony. She rapidly took the case on beginning of December, but never requested required info about the property. Closing day on January 6, but during the Christmas time she said: “bmo won’t finance this type of property”. Really! Why do they wait so long. After all that, my real estate called her, and she started blaming us. We didn’t provide proper info about the property. I filled up all requested paperwork back in November. They screw up from the beginning. Don’t get, who gave her right or permission to discuss my stuff even with my real estate?!Personal banking Grace Foster not professional!Manager assistant Nicole Frabony could discuss your deal with random person. Security incident!

Went to this branch on a Saturday during their open hours 9:30am–4pm to deposit a very large time sensitive bank draft for my business only to be greeted by a single staff member directing people to use the ATM machines because there were no tellers or any other bank staff on Saturdays. What is the point of saying your branch is open if all you can use are the ATMs?I am extremely disappointed by the level of service offered by BMO. I have several corporations banking with BMO and now I am seriously considering why I bother banking with them when there are plenty of other banks that can deliver the same products with much better service.

They had 2 tellers 1 doing a Visa they other helping someone with estate took 40 mins to deposit a certified cheque. I later had questions so called a few days later left a message got a call back 2 days later a teller who said she would have to call me back she never did I left a message for the manager and 2 days later no call so I went on Twitter. I got a call from Kevin from the BMO on Bell Blvd in belleville a few hours later (shouldnt have to go on twitter to get a call back) When I askd why do they not have more tellers he said to make people go online or use the machines. When he started to be rude I asked for his employee number or last name he wouldnt give it to me, I told him I was getting conflicting info from the 1 877 number he said the people at the call centre they just pull anyone off the streets who dont know what they are doing. He was so rude I worked for years in insurance I have never seen anyone so rude to a client in my life. The money was from my mother estate who recently passed Kevin was half laughing on the phone no empathy or respect. Why would i invest any of it with BMO? I have been a client for over 30yrs but did most of my banking on line. When I asked for the managers name and extention number I was told Andrew Smith was out of the office until June 8 and he had no extention number. He asked if I wanted to talk to the assistant manager then said she was with a client he would have her call me

This was a deep struggle.I'm a military member who has been working on a cost move over the last several months. My Mobile Mortgage Specialist was the first contact with BMO, and the best introduction I've had to banking with them. Two weeks before posting this, I was informed that my agreement (which was delayed a bit) would be transferred to Bell Blvd's BMO, and I would be contacted the following day (Friday) or early the next week.With no contact by the following Wednesday, I had to call the Branch multiple times to get through to anyone, and even then waited an additional day to get through to one of the Mortgage Analysts. On Thursday, I was told I'd receive a copy of the agreement by e-mail, and booked in for an appointment the next Monday at noon.After not receiving a copy, I arrived shortly before noon, and proceeded to wait AN HOUR. Several specialists departed for lunch in my waiting period. At the 30 minute mark, someone finally asked me why I was there, and after ducking in the back, informed me I'd be seen to shortly.25 minutes later, after 2-3 more people had dissapeared into the back to check on my analyst, several members of the BMO team returned from lunch. INCLUDING THE ANALYST I WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE MY APPOINTMENT WITH. It took another 10 minutes before I was seated, and I spent 90 minutes waiting for a document I needed to have signed 2 weeks ago.I'm glad to be posting out, what a dreadful experience and in-line with that of other reviewers here.Edit: It's now the day before I take possession, and more has occurred since posting this. For added context, we had held our meeting in very awkward, pointed silence. I believe the Analyst likewise received a reprimand while we were in that meeting.That evening, I realized several things after I had posted the review:1) I had not received a copy of my documentation / mortgage agreement, aside from some waivers and agreements the signing member, had me sign off on.2) Despite being flagged as a military member, I had been signed up for several insurance strategies that are already provided by my employer. This was not well explained to me due to the uncomfortable silence the rest of our meeting continued with.3) Despite firmly asking for bi-weekly mortgage payments to coincide with my military pay, I had been signed up for monthly lump-sum payments instead.I immediately reached out to my Mobile Mortgage Broker, Tina Doucet. Tina has been an invaluable credit to the Bank of Montreal, and her professionalism and care are the main reasons I stuck out with my mortgage in BMO, versus taking it to CIBC who had a superior rate. Tina rectified it immediately with BMO Belleville, and promised we were good to move forward – an amendment would be pushed through the Belleville Branch to my lawyers in BC immediately.This comes up to today: I have just been notified that the amendment arrived via e-mail this morning. After obtaining my assent to the amendments, I was then informed that BMO Belleville branch HAD NOT COMPLETED THE FUNDING WHICH HAD BEEN AGREED TO AND NOTARIZED. This was under the purview of an ‘Andrew Smith’, who was NOT who I met with at BMO, and not even a person I was aware was handling my mortgage.I've already begun recommending previous colleagues look elsewhere for financing. This was a disaster at the end, even when my Mobile Broker was the spotlight of relief throughout the process. I'm already working on moving my entire life, I shouldn't need to worry whether or not I have the right financing, the right options done RIGHT, and that I even have my financing signed off at all at the 11th hour.Edit 2: As of 30 Mar 23, I had to find a BMO Branch on the West Coast to fix my mortgage. I ended up having to MISS a payment, and I'm still being charged insurance for it despite meeting all requirements to not need it as per legal requirements.Two family members, who'd I'd foolishly recommended to BMO during the time prior to this incident, have had an almost EXACT same experience. Likely going to move my Mortgage elsewhere.

Please bring back a teller for business purposes only. I just want to do my quick banking for my business and not have to wait for all the grannies who forgot their pin to be helped or listen to chit chat that makes transactions waaay longer than needed. This is a request to be more professional. Everytime I come there's at least 6+ people in line plus 3 at the tellers. Today 2 out of 4 tellers went on lunch at the same time leaving 7 people in line. Not efficient in any way.

Andrew Smith a branch manager he is the only one at this place with professionalism and dedication.After few employees screw up my deal and I had to push closing day twice, he took it over and fix it, with better conditions even plus gave me some advice.Suggestion:Deal with Andrew Smith for big purchases only,otherwise expect bad consequences.

Today I had my first bad experience with this branch. I deposited US funds into my US banking account in the form of a cheque which I have done multiple times a year for the last 5 years plus with no issues. Today I was with the teller Cristita (sp?) and she informed me that there would be a 30 day hold on these funds. After I explained that this has never happened, she didn’t even bother to check my history where she would have seen previous deposits without issues. Then, I wasted 40+ minutes on the phone (27 of those minutes I was on hold) with customer service to be told that there are “restrictions on my account that would have been set up when my account was created” and that I had to RETURN to the branch to resolve. To say I’m frustrated is putting it lightly. Have tried calling the branch itself numerous times with no answer.
