The owner of this company, Terry was nice enough to deal with at the outset but the vehicle a 2007 GMC Acadia was a piece of junk and not worth the $145.00 per diem charge. When I picked the vehicle up it was filthy inside and I had to vacuum the entire thing before using it. The seats were filthy and it stunk like cigarette smoke...(as a former smoker I know the smell.) When I called the owner to ask why the vehicle was not cleaned he said that they were too busy to do this which in this time of Covid does not sit well. I disinfected it before getting back in the vehicle.Additionally the the vehicle badly needed mechanical attention. The service air bag, service park assist, service stabilitrak, service traction control warnings all stayed on for the three days we had the vehicle. As demonstrated by the photos attached to this review. The engine had a groaning sound. As well there was a piece of black electrician tape over the engine warning light. Again, when I asked the owner for a discount his very offhand comment to me was bring it back and I will refund your money. He knew full well that we were in a bind and desperately needed this particular size vehicle for the weekend.I would not recommend this company to anybody.

My wife and I made a quick trip home to Victoria to look at houses. We rented from GSA because our family has been renting from GSA for many years. Some cars in the fleet are older than if you rented from one of the larger rental chains. The prices are great, the rentals are no-hassle, and the cars are reliable.No hassle" means that the car doesn't have to be in like-new condition. Big corporate rental companies track and inspect every detail looking for ways to make a bit more money. That is the kind of hassle you are opting out of at GSA Auto Rentals."

A pretty friendly car rental agency. Terry will pick you up from the ferry or airport. He had some newer cars and some older cars. The one I had wasn't clean but his quick friendly service more than made up for it.

Terry at GSA Auto Rentals was great to deal with from start to finish. The Honda Accord I rented was awesome to drive around in. Terry really went above and beyond by getting me into a vehicle at a great rate for the week. Anytime I'm on the island Terry is my first choice. 5 stars definitely recommend.

We will always rent from Terry because he is a kind and friendly person and the price to rent a car was a great deal and the car was great and we were upgraded to a Ford Escape at no charge that we really enjoyed touring around the island in. We get a real small town family vibe from Terry, so we will always use Terry when we come to Sidney.

I just returned from a wonderful holiday on Vancouver Island and I rented a car from GSA Car Rentals for the trip. GSA rents older cars in very good condition and charges hundreds less than their competition. I was worried that this deal was too good to be true so was really pleased to get a Honda Civic from GSA which was comfortable, reliable and gave us great gas mileage at a time when gas prices were high. We had no problems with the car what-so-ever and enjoyed dealing with the owner Terry. He was fast and efficient to deal with, very personable and professional, easy to get ahold of and he has a great sense of humour. I would rent a car from him again in a second.

Owing to the high ratings on google, I booked a car 2 months in advance with GSA Auto rentals, since my entire 6-day long trip depended on the car. I also called in 2 days before arrival to reconfirm our booking, and despite of all that we were given a 15 years old Chevrolet Cobalt and we were told that it was the only car available the day we arrived. I wonder what was the point of advance booking then. The steering and brakes of the car were super stiff and the car’s battery died on us twice while we were in remote areas. Air conditioning didn’t work either. I am giving 2 stars in my review (instead of zero) only for the fact that GSA’s price was lower than other rental companies on the Island and Terry paid for the repair costs upfront. However, I am never renting from GSA again.

I had a fantastic experience with GSA Auto Rentals Ltd. and Terry. I called, on short notice, needing a very specific car to help a loved one to and from surgery. Terry made sure we were accommodated in a clean, perfect vehicle for what it needed to do (it was also warmed as I was picking it up on a sub-zero windy day!). It was easy in, easy out and fit the bill well.As I travel back and forth, I am no doubt going to give GSA a call for when my family needs another rental.

We rented a car for a week on the island of Vancouver. Renting with GSA Auto Rentals was extremely convenient. Good prices, very friendly service, top shape cars. The service provided was warm and courteous, and Terry went out of his way to wait for our late flight arrival. Everything was exactly as I'd hoped it would be, really took the stress out of the car rental part of my trip. I wholeheartedly recommend this business for anyone seeking to rent a car on the island, and the next time I come back to visit, I will definitely be renting from here again.

Terry gave me a great deal on a midsized for 3 days, when my first car had battery issues, he was able to replace it within an hour and I went on my way. Left my VISA and I was able to pay with Debit at the shop. Would highly recommend if your visiting the island and can't or don't want to rent from the airport which can be tedious and have long long lines.
