Anvil Centre

We love going to the New Media Gallery which is on the 2nd floor of the Anvil Centre. They have a new exhibit every couple of months. There are usually 3-4 art installations so you are probably in and out in about 20-30 minutes. The exhibits are always unique and interesting. Gordon does a great job explaining what the pieces are about. And to top it off it is free!Also right beside the New Media Gallery is the New West museum and Canadian Lacrosse hall of fame.

Great convention, lots of vendors, kids love it... lots of great vintage games.. they did a great job. Lots of events for both new and old generations...

Such modern architecture inside and outside! This is a free museum/gallery about the history of New west. They have these lounging chairs which has a peaking view of the Quay!Totally a place to check out as a tourist, highly recommend.

Wonderful new building in the heart of old New Westminster. Beautiful architecture? museum and archives. Friendly and open to the public.

Terrible location for a convention centre with all the social service centers nearby.

Anvil Centre Theater is a great facility. Parking underground open until 11 pm gates are locked until 6 am.The Concession Area had limited drinks and snack choices. Would recommend that they expand their selection to offer more options.Staff were efficient and friendly.

It is currently the major central location for the city of New Westminster on COVID vaccination. It usually host the city events, including for Christmas, Pride, and any other suitable activites.The building also contain other accesses to upper floor for the local gallery exhibition and also part of a college campus

I always drove by Anvil Centre but this was my first time to come here in person for a company event.Anvil Centre is a luxurious building in the heart of New Westminster. It is close to skytrain station and bus stop. The building also has an underground parking and parking there is not expensive. The place is clean and has security guards to look after the building.The conference room is clean and spacious that we could have more than twenty tables and each table had 8 seats. The service was above average. We had a three course meal. The food was average.I came here for a company event at night, so I didn't get a chance to visit the gallery. I would like to come back and explore more here one day.

Nice new building lots of things inside.

Don’t let this steel and glass marvel of architecture fool you - there are plenty of places to recycle your sandals here! Three different options for how to dispose of the garbage in your pocket, local art installations and today, as a special treat, more environmental and social justice filmmakers than you can shake a stick at. We made a family visit here this afternoon. There was plenty of comfortable chairs for my five-year-old to flop around and whine in after having his driving rights revoked for pushing the one-year-old’s stroller around like Johnny Knoxville. The full glass wall on the south side is gorgeous and allowed just the right amount of sunshine in to wipe away his blues. Very nice spot to get away to people-watch, drink a coffee, or use free Wi-Fi. A respectable 4 stars out of 5.
