221017 Totally closed, 2 entrance all closed from September 21, they do have 2 years to do the maintenance during covid 19 2020, 2021, but they do nothing. they just open June 1st 2022, why closed from September 21?

Well marked trails, but not all maintained. We hit a big mosquito period unfortunately

We loved our first ever visit on a nice snowy day. We didn't get to explore a lot of it, but what we did see was beautiful. Our dog also loved it. Will definitely come back.

The diversity of flora and fauna along the trails was truly remarkable, and we took our time to appreciate the natural wonders around us.The campsite itself was well-equipped and provided all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The spacious and clean campsites offered privacy and a peaceful atmosphere, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in nature. In the evenings, we gathered around the campfire, sharing stories and enjoying the sounds of crackling wood and the starry night sky above us. Additionally, the park's lookout points provided stunning panoramic views of the area, allowing us to witness breathtaking sunsets and capture some remarkable photographs. Overall, our camping experience at Parc récréoforestier Saint-Mathieu was a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and natural beauty.In addition to the wonderful outdoor experiences, it's worth noting that there is no cell signal in and around Parc récréoforestier Saint-Mathieu. This lack of connectivity actually turned out to be a blessing in disguise, as it allowed us to fully disconnect from our devices and immerse ourselves in the tranquility of the park. Without constant notifications and distractions, we were able to appreciate the beauty of nature and truly bond with our fellow campers.However, for those who still needed to stay connected, the park provided limited access to Wi-Fi in a few campgrounds near the registration desks. This was a convenient option for checking emails or making necessary online arrangements while still being able to enjoy the camping experience. It allowed us to strike a balance between staying connected and embracing the serenity of the park.Overall, the lack of cell signal in the park helped us truly unwind and appreciate the natural surroundings, while the availability of Wi-Fi in select areas offered a practical solution for those needing occasional online access. It was the perfect opportunity to disconnect from the digital world and reconnect with nature and loved ones.

Nice trails, the longest trail la chute du diable is fairly easy and can be done in roughly 4 hours. The best view point is between G and H since that there is not a lot of view points. Although the name stays a chute, beware there is no fall. There is no entrance free, a small parking, trails are well indicated and you can bring your dog.

Unique park with stunning views for hiking and cycling, visiting the park in autumn is highly recommended.

Nice forest to do some hiking, and it’s free for everyone. It has about 3-4 marked trails suitable for walking and some roads for bikes. The longest hike is about 10km (one way) and has some interesting sights. Also, lots of edible mushrooms were spotted after the rain. Just don’t forget your insect repellent because the mosquitos are rough.

Excellent if you like hiking, biking and stay in touch with natural environments. The trails are great, some are more exigents than others. the signals are clear and easy to follow. The devil falls are really beautiful and not so crowded if you go early. Small parking and free, same as the park entrance.
