Sunset Motel & Trailer Park

(Full kitchen with dishes) Our room was great sure it’s not the prettiest thing but it’s fictional, cheap, clean. That all I could ask for and what is needed recommend coming here for a cheap stay if passing through

Smelly, Old and full of Mold. Blankets are chalk full of bedbugs and long hair, Clean your dishes twice and leave them on the counter to avoid the mouse droppings.The shower head is held together by painted on duck tape, The towels reek of mothballs and are stiffer then sandpaper. Unsurprisingly, The value is way overpriced. I don't get why people would lie about that. I went down the road for under $100 to a spotless clean and comfy new motel with everything included.

My wife, son and i were at end of lease and hadn't been able to rent new place as we were from Chemainus and without being in Port Albernie yet no one would rent without meeting in person. We called the Sunset Motel. At first look...for sure out dated a little. But staff is friendly, rooms are clean. Not standard rooms full 1 bedroom apartment with fridge, stove, coffee table, table and chairs, all kitchen utensils and appliances.We rented monthly for $850.00 / month all utilities included. So far we stay 2017 months with 2 dogs. Yeah it could use modern Tuscany newer furniture but for the $ your spending its awesome.After i do find a house to rent ill always know that the Sunset Motel will be there again if i or one of my friends are in need again.Thank you.

Stayed at this motel on the way through the island. Yes the location and price was good, but the room smelled badly, was very dated, and while it was mostly surface level clean.. there seemed to be a build up of 20 years worth of grime/smoke. I would not have felt comfortable taking a family here.

Good service. Very spacious, its not the Ritz but it doesn't have to be. We used Port Alberni as a center for us to see the island and this motel was the right price and served its purpose well. Very happy and will be coming here again

A lovely quiet and friendly stay. The owners were very nice and helpful as we were late to pick up key, but they waited for us and we were very grateful. The rooms are large for a motel and have a while kitchen including utensils which was fantastic. The beds are comfy and clean and at night it's nice and quiet! The only small negative point is everything is dated and old and a slight smell which could be hidden with some air freshners. But definitely recommend the stay its a good price

Absolutely disgusting room. Old, very smelly, even after 4h leaving the windows and the door open it was still smelling really bad.Would avoid this place at all cost. We left the minute we woke up.I can't believe some people left good reviews for this one.Trust the review of Scotty Wills. We had the exact same experience. I suspect the other review were made up.

The place was quiet and functional.We were in the previously reviewed room 23. It is ugly but everything works and the bed is surprising comfortable. Shower and hot water were also decent.If you ignore the ugly looks your stay will be fine. I would have given it a 1 star but since everything was functional so I upgraded to 2 star. The wifi was solid and quite fast. You cannot expect much from the city. It is an overnight stop.

Great price for the size of the room! Plenty of space for my family of 4 while on summer vacation. A bit dated and the shower didn't work well but overall it was clean and well maintained.
