Wonderful Family-run business. Farah was very accommodating, walked us through different varieties of wood and spindles that would work for our stairs.With a full ranges of woods for stairs, flooring etc - I would definitely recommend Empire Stairs and Floors.

I don't even know where to start. If you value your money and want a quality job avoid this business. I have nothing good to say. We ordered maple stairs. When they came to install it, I couldn't believe how bad the wood and staining job was. Bloches everywhere, wood was not sended properly ( still harsh to the touch) scratches from sending, runs from the top coat. Just horrible. I have contacted the owner and emailed her the pics.There was no answer from her the next day when the crew came back. We told them to take it all back. The owner later said that there was nothing wrong with the stairs.She did not want to give me my money back, she did not want to fix the stairs, she was not willing to give us the stairs back so I could try to fix them myself. ( that was my only option at the time from my point of view.) She also said that if I want new stairs, I would have to pay for them again.!!! She did not try to resolve to resolve my isssues at all. Oh well she got the money right.?!After emailing and phone calls all day and her telling me not to show up at her shop and harras her and other personal low blow comments from her, we got some of the money back. She also promised to give us the spindles back. Its been two months now and she avoids our call. No spindles in site. I hate doing this review but I can't believe how the owner approached and treated us.We ended up ordering the stairs somewhere else and we are hiring someone else to stain them.Such a bitter experience.
