I had an unfortunate experience at this BMO location that aligns with the feedback of other reviewers. The excessive questioning I encountered during my visit felt condescending and reminiscent of an interrogation. Some of the questions asked were even inappropriate in nature. As I walked out of the bank, I made up my mind to switch to a different financial institution. The harassment endured simply isn't worth it to keep my savings and investments at BMO.To those who have also faced similar mistreatment and interrogations for choosing to bank with BMO, my sympathies are with you. Remember that (1) you deserve to be treated with respect, (2) you are not a criminal, and (3) there are better options available where you can conduct your banking without such experiences.

Don't waste your time here. I went here and got profiled right away. Started getting numerous security questions which I answered without a problem. This then frustrated the teller so she started questioning why I have certain services from BMO which was odd as she posed them as just more security questions. She went to the back and some manager" came out and explained I can't withdraw because I went to another BMO branch that day. I started asking detailed questions and it was clear he either didn't know what he was talking about or simply didn't care and was not willing to help. I went to another branch and they were able to help me within a few minutes."

I went to the bank on this branch today. this person name : Linda, the most rude person ever. she was not helpful, did everything possible not to help. I had to insist and had the get mad to get what I needed to be done. this not acceptable. Customer service is there to help not to make you feel you nothing. I have reported to the head office. Service like this is unacceptable. Extremely slow service. I went here to reset my bmo MasterCard after incorrectly entering password, which is a ridiculous process. After my long wait in line, the manager was going on scheduled lunchbreak, and only he could apparently do this service. I was told to come back in an hour. I went to another branch and just cancelled my card. Now switching to try a different bank altogether.

I had been dealing with BMO since I landed in Canada and that was in 2005. I had been a loyal customer.I sometime visit Westdale location on Dundas and Erin dale station intersection, their staff is very difficult to deal with. Not at all helpful.I do received business check on my business account regularly I go to any branch of BMO they check my history if the cheque is coming from same company they remove hold right away.They at westdale branch always have to create an issue they usually tell you hold is for two days and it take upto six days.I did talk to the manager and requested to check my history and they can see all other branches had been removing hold. They she simply ignored.I will never deal with this branch any more and if it continue like this I may have to switch a bankAlso BMO need to check why that branch has three stars and so many bad reviews.Banking sector is a service industry it’s all about service. BMO needs to focus on their customer service before it’s too late.Further update: I went to the square one branch, the teller st the square one branch was very helpful. He was so courteous that I asked his name. Ryan was very helpful dil I explained him the scenario and he immediately said if it’s a regular cheque than only we can remove hold, I told him it’s a regular cheque. He open my account and checked for himself and he agreed it’s a regular check, he than printed last few deposit from the same company took it to his manager and manager immediately approved it. And so my cheque was deposited without any hold.But it was very inconvenient for me as I had to travel from westdale mall branch to square one as all the branches closed at 5:00 pm and square one opens late.So please BMO proper training is required for Westdale, why so many bad reviews for that branch. Please improve you quality of service.

Totally disaster!I got in for transferring 2k to my friends' BMO account. I thought it was just a normal free immediate transfer between 2 BMO account, like I did many times before in other brunches. However, the teller seemed have no idea how to do the transfer between BMO accounts and did a wired transfer without asking me. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that until I'm asked to sign on the fee sheet of 50$, where I had already signed on the trasfer sheet.I told her that was not right. She pulled out the manager. This guy pointed my signature and tiny title on that page, and questioned me why I signed the transfer sheet. Well, he made some point. I admit that was my fault to take grant for that transfer and not check word by word. But, on my defense, I refused to sign on the fee sheet, because nobody in the branch told me the wired transfer requires fee. It is not fair to require the client to konw all your financial rules better than your employees.After 1 hour argument, finally my funds sent over wired, because the button has been clicked, but finally I got the 50$ fee credit back. I stepped in the branch expect to do a free instant fund transfer in 10 minutes, however it ended up with1 hour free argument and the fund would take 2 days to arrive.Acutually, the most horrible part was that the teller have no idea about their business. I don't believe they did that just for getting the fee out of me. They simply are too ignorant to do that job. Funny that she ever discussed a couple of times with the other two tellers before made the wired transfer for me, also the manager was so defensive and tried to put all the faults on me.I would say, please keep away from this branch as far as you can. I don't know how many tellers they have in the total, but I think that the chance to get a capable one is really low, as all of the 3 I met today have no idea that they actually are able to do free instant transfer between 2 BMO accounts for the clients.

Wanted to deposit a bank draft and staff said they have to put a 7 business day hold on it which would prevent me from using the funds. Explained to them that a bank draft is a certified cheque by a financial institute and is equivalent to cash so money should have no hold on it. Also explained to them that I myself and I know many others that have deposited bank drafts at BMO and many other institutes and there has never been a hold on it and even regular cheques are processed within 4 business days so why are they putting a hold on a bank draft for 7 business days. The staff then called their manager who also said they have to put a hold. I was in a rush so deposited the bank draft and they put a 7 business day hold on it. The next day I went to another BMO branch and they immediately removed the hold because it made no sense to put a hold on a bank draft. In order to share this review I will have to give at least 1 star.

Worst branch ever!Came yesterday around 4.30 to withdraw some money. They asked my a lot of questions. I answered them correctly. Yes because it is my account. But they still looked at me like I did something wrong. Then they whispers to each other, I know they were talking about me and my account.

My experience with this branch and BMO was the worst since I have a bank account. The staff didn't know what they're doing, cost me not just money but also a lot of time cleaning up their mess. In the end, the person handled my business account even closed my business account without confirming with me. It's not just bad, it's the worse anyone can experience ever. I would not recommend BMO at all. If anyone still deal with BMO, don't go to this branch. If I have a choice, I will give 0 star.
