Cowichan Bay Boat Launch
There's a little estuary visitor center here that's pretty cool, can learn about things that are local. I never knew about the lampreys that are exclusive to the local lakes.

Beautiful little place with amazing views. We just stopped in and had a snack and enjoyed the scenery while stretching our legs. Didn't have a boat to launch, we just walked around and got on our way again. Would definitely stop in here again on another pass through here.

Great boat launch, boaters need to look at tide before getting in the truck. Not good at a low tide. Great place to watch nature and have lunch in the grassy areas. There are a few picnic tables and a look out tower. Love this place.

This boat launch tends to get quite busy, but the wait is often worth your time. During embarkation, you might get a chance to spot some crabs, fish etc. An ocean adventure is a wonderful experience that can be especially delightful to recall during the winter season, when opportunities for paddling may be limited.Cowichan is a lovely town situated in the southern part of Vancouver Island. I don't have a boat to launch but I saw people launching their boats and it was not crowded that the water was clean and the parking lot had lots of parking.
