I have been getting my hair done here over the last year. From my first time, I was very impressed with Emil’s talent and service! Emil really knows everything there is no know about hair! I described the cut that I wanted, and showed the pictures of the colour. The results exceeded my expectations!If you are looking to update your style, colour and cut - this is your place!

I showed a reference photo and the final result looked nothing like it. I asked for full colour, toner, full highlights. The service i received was full highlights, haircut. They said my original hair colour was similar to the reference one and didn't dye it; proceeded to charge me the same price. I mentioned how it was uneven because at this point my hair was three different colours, and 4 inches shorter, they claimed that's exactly what I asked for. They said that if I was unsatisfied I didn't have to pay but when calling and mentioning I disliked it they got frustrated and hung up.

I am glad NolaSalon has grown to a few more locations, because it has one of the most exceptional hairdressers in the city without exaggeration.I go to cut my hair with Emil – the results have always exceeded my exceptions. I had an emergency (needed a haircut ASAP before my flight). I found this salon on Google maps and I called it because I saw that my friend left a very good review for Emil and I always liked her haircut.When I called the salon Emil told me that he was done for the day. He heard by my voice intonation that I got upset and then he asked my to come in 45 mins. So I did!I asked him to get rid of my dry hair. Emil looked at my hair and told me right away what haircut will suit me and that we will get rid of most dry tips during this haircut. He answered all my questions that bothered me.I will tell you one thing, you will either like his approach to the clients or you will not. He is not the type of a hair stylist who you can come with a picture of a haircut that you like and he will just do it for you. He sees what suits your face and he will tell you about it.I will definitely come back!

I went in on a Tuesday afternoon for a trim ($75), and it was only myself and the owner - not very busy and I soon found out why.No care or effort was put into his work. He spent half the time with his eyes on the tv, which wasn't even playing a show in English, so it was definitely there more for his benefit than customer benefit. He didn't use any product on my hair, resulting in my hair drying out and going frizzy when blow dried.After a haircut I'll usually use dry shampoo to try to make it last as long as possible. This time I wished I had brought a hat along with me.Parking was also a nightmare, you need a permit to park which you'll need to grab from the front desk.I liked that the booking process was online and was clear in its offerings and prices, but if the best part of a haircut is the booking process, then that's a problem.You and your hair deserve better. If you're looking for a new salon to try out, keep looking.
