Downtown Bed and Breakfast

This is the only place I stay in Ottawa. The house is a lovely old home full of character and centrally located. The hosts are welcoming and made me feel right at home. I even got a massage from Siri the owner. I highly recommend it and I will definitely come back.

I had a wonderful time during my short trip.The house is old, so surely the facilities may not be as good as some newer places. However, it was still okay in general, and its age makes it a nice option for people who want to see what older houses are like (despite the age of the house in general, the washroom has been lately updated and was clean, as someone picky about washrooms, I'm generally satisfied).The owners are very welcoming. I was a bit confused and nervous before my trip as I didn't receive instructions about check-in, but the whole process turned out to be easy and smooth. Simple vegetarian breakfast is included with no extra charge. The dairy products, the cereals, and the baked toast are great.Generally good location with the Museum of Nature and plenty of good restaurants, pubs, and other food places around the property. It's not close to O Train but bus stops are within a few minutes' walk, and it's an easy drive from the airport.Another thing I liked is that unlike some other B&Bs, I didn't find any stringent and hard house rule, instead things generally remained quite flexible.It's worth noticing that the owners now have two (lovely) dogs, so for people who are not comfortable with dogs for any reason, better to notify the property beforehand so that you can make arrangements beforehand.

It's a beautiful century home well kept and clean. A great location across the street from the museum and within walking distance to the Parliament buildings, historical sites, and many other places of interest. What truly sets this B&B apart from the others are your hosts. A lovely couple who will treat you like family and make your stay with them special. They're knowledge of Ottawa and it's history is amazing. They will gladly reccomend restaurants, shops, entertainment, museum's, historical sites and many points of interest. I have stayed with them many times, this B&B is a gem, priceless!!!

The Best Home Comfort and Location in the Nation's Capital with pure water offered to guests as part of the most serene and calm atmosphere. ...highly recommend and suggest to pre-pay inadvance......the Staff is Super Wonderful !

Stayed here one night for a concert and it was AWESOME. They were extremely nice and accommodating. It was clean, nice rooms, close to downtown, no complaints whatsoever!

A lovely period home in an excellent location in downtown Ottawa. Walk to the Parliament Buildings in ten minutes. Close-by pubs and restaurants on the SensMile on Elgin, plus the Elgin Street Diner. Our hosts were very friendly and informative. Would definately recommend! Rob & Susan Moon, Georgian Bay.

I made my reservation weeks ahead of time and told them that I needed a gluten free diet. I received an email back telling me not to worry because their gluten free breakfast would be yummy. I was offered instant coffee, orange juice and a Clementine. Yummy..not. The kitchen was disgusting and the carpets were not clean. No air conditioning , no tv and a very cluttered environment. I was here for a conference so I had breakfast the nest couple of days at the hotel. My husband also went out for a good breakfast. Will not go back or recommend this B&B to anyone.

I went here 6 months ago now, and I still think about is so frequently. Such a humble lovely home to have stayed in, Siri is the absolute sweetest women I've ever met and the friendly at home vibe was so refreshing to find in a trip of crazy city. Can't wait to visit again some day ❤️

Beautiful home, eccentrically decorated, warm and hospitable owners. I initially reserved because of the amazing proximity to downtown, but i will definitely be going back because of the incredibly friendly management. When you’re there, you feel like you’re a part of their family!
