Had a one night stopover while sailing the southern Lanrador coast in July 2022. Very picturesque and beautiful location that brings one back to timed past in the History of the Labrador fishery. Very authentic experience. Service and reception on landing was superior.

What an incredible place - absolutely the gem of Labrador. Well maintained and presented. Truly gives you a taste of what life was like when this place was inhabited for fishing. Also dog friendly/accommodating.We also got dropped off by boat on Great Caribou Island for even more fantastic views of the surrounding geography - a highly recommended addition to any stay here.

Remarkable experience for us - The incredibly warm and welcoming people of Battle Harbour, the sense of history wherever you turn, the sound of surf and birds, the bergs, the whales, Battle Harbour is a place to be savoured and delighted in - it was, hands down, our favorite place to be in our 3 weeks in Newfoundland and Labrador.

The Battle Harbour Historic Properties
The restoration work and information here is excellent. The history behind Battle Harbour is really eye opening. The rooms are beautifully done with nice robes modern and super clean. The meals are homemade and delicious, and the staff, all locals make you feel at home. This is Labrador’s best kept secret. It is a great history lesson that Canadians don’t learn in school.
