BE AWARE !!!Staff like to sell a grow with me program" which sounds great if your child wears glasses ~ kids grow and eyes can change. What they DO NOT tell you is it expires. I found out the hard way and for the sake of a few months (due to covid) am out $500. All I got from Dr. Bayer was a smug

I am re-rating my experience due to the staff reaching out to me and giving me amazing service despite a mix up last week. Dr. Samborski, you're amazing. You treat your clients with professionalism, care and do whatever you can to find solutions for me. Dr. Bayer, thank you for reaching out to me and responding to me with humility and professionalism. I am so glad all things were resolved and this can continue to be my place of eyewear needs. This time your whole team stepped up and went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable.

I'm having probably the worst week of my life and the gentle compassion underscoring these folk's diligent work has given me comfort for which I'll always be grateful. Thank you sincerely to Pam, Katie, Dr. Bayer and the other kind folks who showed me so much sympathy.

We have gone to this Eye Centre for years with our 3 kids. The optometrists are all great. However, Our kids always look forward to picking a toy at the end of the appointment. Today they were rushed through it, they had to take the first toy they touched, they were not allowed to choose. I think to save parents the headache, they should just not offer the cheap toys to the kids.This was definitely not a good experience, the receptionist was a different receptionist than we are used to from our past experiences and I agree with other comments, she doesn't seem very friendly. She doesn't seem to care about kids either, the previous receptionist was great with kids.

Dr. Samborski is absolutely wonderful. He's fantastic with kids. I have a 2 year old and 5 year old and he checked both kids without either of them getting up set. Customer service is also impeccable.

Eye doctor was friendly, but the receptionist was very rude. I could barely take off my 3 kids coats and scarves before she wanted me to put masks on them. Not a “Hello” or “How’s it going?” But a rude “Put a mask on” I politely declined for my kids, but she insisted, waving these masks in my face. I asked her if her hands we’re clean, and she gave me a look like I was crazy. Yikes! Being handed open masks from a person that handles money all day is gross. If she’s that scared of the flu, stay home. We will NOT be returning, we will go to a place where we are welcome.

This rating is based on the horrible customer service I received from a staff member in the office, I don’t recall her name but she was a younger tiny brunette. Let me say I have been employed for Government for 30 yrs & have worked with all types of employees & while at work I am expected to deal with all sorts of employees who may not want to be there, having bad day, or are younger & feel they are too good for the job & show it in how they act. However, when I am out especially at a Dr’s office I expect the attention, care, sympathy, and kindness from employees not being sharp, cruel, and rude answers. Even the ladies waiting behind were shaking their head at incident. Been coming here for 10 yrs never had to deal with this one before, normally the staff is amazing & drs are top notch, but this experience left me wondering if I actually even wanted to go back as who wants to deal with that? I pray the drs realize how she is treating people & is gone, It’s obvious she hides it well as she only speaks loud enough for you to hear & when staff is near she completely changes. 2 stars is because I still love drs here.

We took my mother-in-law to see Dr. Bayer yesterday. At 82 she says that this was “the best examination she has had in her entire life.” Extraordinary and all the staff was so kind. Our teenage boy also loved it. And impressing a teenage boy is not easy.

Eye Doctor, was very knowledgeable and nice. Customer service was friendly and welcoming. Would not purchase lenses through them since I was given a price that was so expensive I could not believe what they wanted to replace new lenses into my old frames. I have insurance and even with that the price was over $400.00 dollars. I decided to shop around to get a more fair price.

So I am leaving this review as a BE AWARE. I moved to the area and was looking for eye care close to home. My experience with the doctors were great. The eye doctors were Fabolous however, I am covered by treaty (Indian affairs), I have NEVER in any other office been charged any fees for eye care. The lady at the front desk said it's because I am diabetic and they don't cover the pictures (new machine) that takes pictures of the back of the eye. First of all I have been diabetic for years and have NEVER been charged at any other office. I would of declined it if it wasn't covered and second of all you would think being diabetic would be even more reason to have regular eye care, she made it sound like it was my fault for having diabetes so I must pay extra. I know most people who are treaty or on social assistance wouldn't have the extra fees in pocket to cover such things. It was not spoken of, not mentioned in my email confirmation and she said a voice message was left upon checking, it also wasn't mentioned in the voice mail either just asking to confirm the appointment. It was just sprung on me last minute and never having to pay fees before, I was prepared to. I am just making sure I leave this review so other who have these types of health insurance like treaty/social assistance and diabetic if you are going to this clinic, walk with extra money. I will be returning to my original eye care provider. Unfortunate because my experience with the doctors were great but I am not willing to pay these extra fees every time for the same eye care I can get free at my original eye doctors.
