St Lawrence Optometry

I was impressed that I was able to get my glasses the same day I had my eye exam.I love the glasses I got. I liked the staff and was very happy with how much time the took to explain things. It was my first exam and I was nervous but they took the time to reassure me and make me feel comfortable. Additionally I had a follow up question that was answered very quickly (even after hours!) PS: the glasses have a 2yr warranty!

Would NOT recommend. They don't know what they are doing and they overcharge.After I bought my glasses, I had to go back a number of times to get my glasses adjusted because they never fit them to my face properly. One of those time, my frames were noticeably damaged by the optician (less than a month after I got them). I ended up getting my glasses fit to my face properly at a different eye care establishment.I also paid for a contact lens consultation at St. Lawrence Optometry, and the optometrist gave me a trial pair of contact lenses which I found very uncomfortable. I called to ask for a different recommendation for a contact lens, but even though the optometrist gave me the wrong kind, I would have had to pay another $45 just to get a different recommendation.

I have been coming to this office for years for my eye exams for over 8+years. Dr. Chapman and the entire staff are all very professional and friendly. They are very efficient, caring and professional and they never keep you waiting. Beyond the eye-exam, they also support you with honesty in selecting the right glasses or contacts that meet your needs. Every visit I have had to this office has been an excellent experience. I highly recommend them.

I had an excellent and vision-saving experience at St Lawrence Optometry. I went there (at the concession street location) for an eye check up and turned out I had severely high eye pressure without any symptoms. The doctor (I believe Dr. Alex) set an immediate same day further check up at Hotel Dieu Eye Clinic. I had a laser procedure on the same day and now on the recovery and healing phase. The great service at St Lawrence optometry saved my vision and eyes. Eternally grateful!

I just switched to this clinic and had my first appointment.Dr. Lam (Jeff) was very friendly and nice. He made my eye exam fun, and explained concepts without being prompted to do so, which I really appreciated- it was educational!He seems very personable and would be a good optometrist for all ages, including children. He is able to keep the appointment fun and upbeat, but also doesn’t shy away from explaining the serious elements thoroughly so that the patient understands.

I tried to book a D-15 test with them. Even though my doctor already did the Ishihara test for me and only needed the D-15 test, they said that I have to come and undergo a full vision test and pay a hefty fee.I ended up going to another place and they charged me way less, since they only did the required test.I gave them 4 stars because the staff over the phone were well informed, helpful, and nice.

I had a terrific experience at St. Lawrence Optometry with my optometrist Dr. Nazareth and one of their staff, Jasmin. I am so impressed with the level of patient centered care I experience at St. Lawrence Optomertry! Jasmine assisted me to choose the right level of tint in new lenses and frames with my prescription. Her level of dedication and her skill in facilitating my choices around new glasses was incredible! In two decades of wearing glasses, I have never met a technician/professional with so much enthusiasm, kindness and knowledge. At St. Lawrence Optometry, I feel that patient centered care is at the center of everything they do! Thank you!

I am very upset at this place , they changed my appointment to another time due to scheduling to many kids at once . And then due to storm and traffic I was 5 min late . And they couldn’t see me and yet want to reschedule and charge me 55$ fee …. There is no way another patient can be seen in within 5 min time frame . This is observed!!! Yet they don’t give you any deals for waiting when you are earlie or on time and they don’t take you at the time of appointment . I will not be taking my family back here . Very sad because I have been coming here since I was a child myself and then been taking my family over too. Is not fair to my kid who was waiting on her apt and getting her expensive prescription and frames fix .

While my first visit to St Lawrence went quite well, such was not the case with the second, hence the one star. Specifically, a month or so after purchasing some glasses at SL, I went back with the intention of purchasing a small container of spray lens cleaner that originally came with the pair I bought. The reason I did so was because I can't use scented products due to migraines and, unlike most eye glass spray cleaners that smell like Windex, theirs was odourless and did an excellent job. Much to my surprise/amazement, the young woman at the front counter refused to sell me any saying the spray in question was only given out with the initial purchase of eye glasses! Somewhat taken aback, given what we're talking about here is a small bottle of eyeglass spray cleaner, I explained the importance of the no-scent" issue to her

I was in St Lawrence Optometry recently for an eye exam and i had some progressive safety glasses made and some changes to some existing sun glasses I had. I am really impressed with the quality of work. The progressive lenses are just perfect. All the staff are friendly and professional. Highly recommended .
