Recently, i visited registry to give a knowledge test for class 7 GDL license and i met a generous employee there, her name is Dilpreet. She provided me each and every information about how to attempt the test and after the completion of test she assessed all of my documents and gave me further instructions when to schedule a road test. Additionally, her excellent communication skills have fostered a collaborative and supportive work environment.

I went for my class 5 test with instructor Ruby this afternoon, she explained me all the instructions very carefully before the test. Her instructions during the test were very smooth and test went very nicely. After the text, she explained my faults very clearly to me and provided me the right information how to correct them in the future. Overall it was a great experience giving my driving test with her.

Hi Owner,I have a bad experience what happened to me today i.e. June 29, 2023 .I went at Mac Registry South Side in March to change my surname on my daughter's birth certificate that I had with me. I was told to filled the form to get the name change and I attached my name change certificate and paid $ 47.00 ( $ 20 government fees + $ 25 Mac Registry Processing Fees + tax). But to my dismay I got same certificate again with the same surname that I had before my surname change. Now I have two birth certificates with same surname. It took approximately 3 weeks.I went back and asked why it happen. I was told it was mistake and I have to go online to request a form from Vital Statistics for amendment. When I asked what about the payment for the service I paid. I was told they will adjust the payment. It took me another one and half month to get the Amendment Form from Vital Statistics.Today I went back again to submit Amendment form. But I was waived $ 15 for Commissioner of Oath Service and told to pay again $ 20 Government fees again. I had argument with the Supervisor too for that. My point was why I have to pay again for your staff mistake for which I got same birth certificate with the same surname. But Supervisor's point was she need the birth certificate that I got second time to do the amendment. My question was -Why I need the same birth certificate that was issued second time if it has the same information as on first one to do the amendment.Had argument on it with the Supervisor but She told me that I am wasting their time by doing the argument. I replied her back with my statement What about my time I wasted here coming 3 times and waited for 3 months. She agreed to wave off the Government fees but was not in a good way but still I paid $ 20 as Government fees as a goodwill that was showed by the clerk that was dealing with me. My questions to you:- You are paying your staff for their time and I also paid for their time as processing fees. What about my time. As you heard that too Customer is King.- As I paid for your staff mistake. Never got an apology from your Supervisor who is responsible to supervise their work.- And If your are sorry pay me back the over payment I paid to you. And If you are not sorry do not reply back for which I don't care. Thanks if you read it.

It was definitely the worst experience I've ever had! As of June 2 and 9, I took 2 different driving tests. I did not object to the result of my 1st test because it was my first time getting a Canadian driver's license and I did not know the procedures. However, I decided to take my 2nd test at the same location (Mac Registry-South) and took private driving lessons in this 1-week interval. I believed that my driving test, which I took on June 9th, was very successful, but I was shocked when I learned that I had failed. However, I soon realized why:1- At the end of both tests, for about 10 minutes, the examiner claimed that I should take at least 2 courses from him and that I would even get various discounts (such as insurance) for my car if I took a private course from him.2- When I talked to the Mac Registry manager about the issue in item 1, he said that the examiner should not say such a thing and that the Registry offices are not private driving courses. However, before I declared I was unsuccessful, the examiner persistently advertised himself for 10 minutes before my two test results and tried to sell me additional practice. He called it brush-up practice.2- The PDF file sent as an e-mail attachment of my first exam result did not open and when I told him this, he said it was not my problem.3- When I looked at my exam result on June 9, the examiner could neither speak clearly in English nor the English in the skill test result PDF he sent me was not understandable. For example, it is unclear what is written in the Comment section that I have boxed in red in the appendix.4- In the too fast for conditions section of the Speed section, it is written that it goes at 31 km/h, the car I drive had an analog dial and how can it read that speed instantly? He said that 30 km/h should be travelled and he deducted points from me for this reason. It is understood from the above reasons that the examiner gives biased results and is not objective while providing the results. It appears that the Examiner left me to earn more money.Based on your answer I need to edit my review; don't give pontificate about me here! I already talked to the manager to object to my second test and she told me exactly as follows: We were not in the same car as you and I can't have any information about what you were talking about? She also said, if you have any complaints, please contact the registry center in Edmonton, not us.

I did not get my class 6 road test examiners name, but he was very professional, and a great dude. He went over my few mistakes and how I could be a better rider at the end of my test. I passed as well.

Wow! I just passed my Class 5 GDL road test after failing 2 times at other registries. I particularly loved my examiner Ruby. She is such a kind woman. Very soft spoken with clear instructions. She made me feel very comfortable from the start and through the test. I didn’t feel nervous at all even when I made little mistakes, she didn’t make it obvious so that kept me calm throughout. I will recommend Mac Registry to everyone and hope they encounter Ruby because she is such a treasure. Thank you so much.
