The School of Cadence Ballet
I am disappointed and not in teachers but by the administration.Someone recommended me this school as the programs are more professional then recreational. And maybe its really good, but my experience ended with their not being organized and not willing to help and support a new student. First they didn't have classes for her age, they put her with students that are way advanced and bigger then her. The admin told me to wait and just come and try classes for free until they figure out the schedule for my daughter. Then it appears I have to pay for the tryout classes. After all the owner or manager sending me a message, that I better find another school! How rude! Not professional at all.

The School of Cadence Ballet is an excellent dance studio. The artistic directors, the teachers, the workshops, guest teachers and summer programming (camps & intensives) are top quality. They are a sensitive, kind and inclusive at this studio. They encourage a love of dance and movement for recreational students in a fun environment. As well, the high calibre of teaching and the students invested in SCB make for a wonderful professional ballet training program using the Vaganova training method and Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) examinations for those dedicated to making dance their career. The studio also has pathways for dance development for regional (CanDance) and international dance competitions (YAGP, ADCIBC), as well as school company performances. Their attention to both dance technique and artistry results in top placements for their students in the competitions that are entered with beautiful and age appropriate performances. I would highly recommend the School of Candence Ballet.

My daughter started training this year at the School of Cadence Ballet and I couldn’t be more impressed with the school. The level of training is high and provided by very reputable teachers. The most important aspect that I am impressed with is how positive and nurturing the environment is for my daughter. The teachers are wonderful in providing that encouragement while at the same time providing high calibre training evidenced by all the awards won. My daughter is learning discipline, determination, and building up her confidence. The onboarding and administration were very organized, (even despite the covid situation) and I am so happy that we found this school. I only wish we found it sooner!

Training at the School of Cadence Ballet is a multi-faceted approach. Proper technique is of course a priority but they also focus on the dancer as a whole. By building physical strength students are more likely to avoid injury and establish the stamina needed for the rigors of live performances. The teachers focus on the mental health of the dancer by providing a highly positive and encouraging learning environment complete with numerous audition and performance opportunities. Most important to this parent, they strengthen the emotional growth of the students which results in confident dancers who are not threatened by the abilities of another dancer but rather they can appreciate and applaud the hard work and dedication that went into a competitor's grace and skill.

My daughter began taking classes at Cadence this September and has had a wonderful experience so far. This school really caters to the individual needs of the child in every way... Her classes challenge her and the teaching is always supportive and nurturing. I'm so impressed with the attention to attaining correct alignment, in my opinion, so vitally important... especially to growing little bodies! She adores her teachers, has made some good friends... Parents are lovely too. We drive an hour each way to get to the studio and it's well worth it!

My daughter has been attending The School of Cadence Ballet for the past 3-years and we couldn't be happier with the quality of instruction she has been receiving. Despite a large portion of her training being during Covid, she has still been able to improve and work towards reaching her full potential due to the amazing staff and their commitment to their dancers.Cadence's approach is to focus on the dancer as a whole. Their mental and physical well-being are both equally as important. Students work very hard and their teachers have high expectations, at the same time the staff are extremely positive and encouraging. As well the school itself creates a warm and family-oriented environment. The students support each other and the parents are also there for each other. We have been so happy with the results of our daughter's training with The School of Cadence Ballet. She along with many of the students have been accepted to and encouraged to attend international summer intensives like The Royal Ballet School, Paris Opera, ABT, and many more.If you are looking for a ballet school The School of Cadence Ballet should be top of your list

The School of Cadence Ballet
My daughters (ages 7 and almost 9) have been going to cadence for five years and they absolutely love it. The school is run professionally, and classes are taught by excellent teachers – well trained, talented, caring and patient. They put a lot of focus on technique and make sure that even the youngest of students get started on the right foot on their dance journey. My daughters have both learned an impressive amount about dance (especially considering their age) since starting at Cadence and, more importantly, have gained so much confidence. They have also found a strong sense of community and feel connected to the school, the faculty and all the students. Participating in the online classes offered throughout covid helped them stay connected to their classmates and the studio – and helped get them through all the lockdowns. Our family can’t say enough great things about this studio. We look forward to many more years of dancing with them.

This is our daughter's second home. She is fully supported and seen as an individual, which has helped grow her confidence over the last several years she has attended SCB. This school is a community and has given her a sense of belonging. While several of their dancers do compete, they are never competitive with each other. There's a real sense of support and encouragement that is instilled into every child, to continually strive for their personal best and celebrated for every achievement.I can't say enough about the teaching staff at SCB. They aren't just teachers, they are family to us now. Our daughter has a special relationship with each one of her teachers, and I can confidently say that's the case for every child who attends. My greatest concern with a young child in any sport or art is if the coaching is done safely, especially with growing bodies and minds. Having come from a recreational studio that made us feel like they just wanted to profit as much as they could from every family, SCB is an entirely different experience. Expertly led by Courtnae and Zhenya, kids aren't pushed past their limits, even if they want to. There's a real focus on miniscule movements (while still having fun) so they are dancing correctly. Once put together, kids are dancing safely vs. trying to execute dangerous aerial stunts just to look impressive. If your child is seriously interested in dance or even wants to explore the arts, this is the institution they should attend. SCB develops artists, but also strong-minded, kind, and supportive children. Oh, and their choreography and teaching is internationally award-winning and recognized. Every year, the pieces they do are unique and absolutely beautiful. There's really no comparison!

My daughter started ballet and jazz with SCB at age 5. Despite the pandemic, SCB has been amazing! She loves her classes and her teachers is excited to attend every week. The classes and instructions appear age appropriate. My daughter does complain at times that the moves are tough and the stretches make her work but she always wants to go back because even she notices her progress and loves how fun the classes are. From the parent end, SCB has always been so responsive and helpful. Someone is always there to answer calls and emails.I would definitely recommend SCB to any child or family wanting to attend a ballet school.
