Number One Chinese Take Out
Ordered delivery tonight. Couple of things were forgotten. Nothing huge. They were wonderful and actually delivered the missing items. Food as always was delicious.

Number One Chinese Take Out
This not the first time this happens. It's like every 2nd time I call and place an order for delivery BEWARE if it's a guy that answers because he cannot take orders properly. I'm always missing an item. Tonight when I called to let them know, a lady answered and argued with me I didn't order the item and hung up on me. I called again and she said I was wasting her time and next time I order to repeat my order and ask them to confirm my order and hung up on me again. Well guess what I will not order from there again. Plus the food is not like it use to taste.

Number One Chinese Take Out
Just like others I ordered from this restaurant 2 combo plates and was not shocked when it came after 1 1/2 after reading the reviews. I called when it was super late 1h 15m in and the lady was rude about me calling in. my order then came 15 minutes later. Food is at best bagged Sysco or Costco made and recooked with the same going with their sauces. I have ordered twice now from here and I would put this in the category of microwaved fast-food with very poor delivery. You won't even eat the rice trust me.Try cypress garden you will thank me and so will your stomach.

#1 FOOD POISIONING - Yesterday my wife and I ordered and received eggrolls with bad pork that coated are tongues with a toxic film, then we proceeded to become sick until now, a day later...Just phoned the owner and warned her not to sell these egg rolls and to call me back after investigating which she did not give the courtesy of doing.So I phoned her back and she remained mute on the the line not knowing what to say and all this after giving her the benefit of the doubt...Be warned, they will be more than happy to take your money after poisoning you

Waited four hours to just cancel my food. At latest was supposed to arrive after 1.5 hours. I called when it didn't and they said, well it's probably on the way after they checked and didn't see the order receipt in the restaurant, though I questioned their certainty and they did confirm they weren't certain. I called another half hour later - a 3 min. Drive, it should have arrived. Still didn't know. An hour after it was late they said it would arrive in 10 - 12 minutes. 4 hours later they said they needed 30 minutes. First, don't take 9rders you can't fulfill. Second don't lie about when the food is coming. If you had said another hour or two the first time I called I could have made a decision whether or not to wait, instead you lied and just made me hangry.

I love this place. I Love the general Tao's chicken from here! Always so good and I love the spicy kick it has. Can't beat it! Sometimes the rice can be hit or miss, depending on the day, but overall, I enjoy going to this place very much.

Food is ok. What's the point of having an online order system if I have to still wait 45 minutes? Especially during COVID, wasn't impressed with that. Portions can be a bit low considering what you pay. I'd recommend you stick with Somerset West and the popular places in Chinatown.

So I wanted to give a five star earlier this evening because this place was one of my favourites. After reading some reviews, I thought the recent one-star reviews couldn’t be possible/must be wrong; so I ordered from my “favourite” Chinese food place in Ottawa for the first time in a little while. I felt rushed on the phone while placing my order, got grunted at instead of a “hello” when I entered to pick up my food, absolutely 0 eye contact or attempt to speak to me whatsoever from the staff (other than telling my total $$ due). The real kicker was that their debit machine didn’t give me an option for NOT leaving a tip. I had to return the machine and said that I made a mistake when the thing declined me for trying to bypass the tip option. Ended up tipping tonight’s rude staff because I was too hungry to argue. Whatever changes you guys have made in the last year, please undo them!!The food was about par, kinda dry from what I remember. Awesome sweet&sour sauce!

Number One Chinese Take Out
When I’m looking for a Chinese Take-Out fix, this is usually the go to spot. It’s an unassuming place and as the name suggests, offers only take-out.What I particularly enjoy is that the vegetables offer the right amount of crisp, not overdone nor soggy. The spring rolls, at least on this occasion, tasted a bit greasy and weren’t as ‘light’ as I remembered them.The General Tao is a staple, as are the noodles and shrimp. On this particular occasion - the order, as delivered was missing an item. That said - an overall god experience.
