I use to love main street cafe. I have eaten here a lot over my 30 years in Stittsville, I have continued to go back but noticed the food has progressively got worse in taste. This last time we went the service was terrible. We stood at the door for a long time before someone acknowledged that we were there and then once we sat down it took forever for the waitress to come. We placed our order. I watched my good sit on the pass and when I finally got my food it was cold. Like have said, I have come here a lot over my 30 years in Stittsville and based on my service and food this last time, I will not be back.

Always a nice time at Main Street Cafe. Lots of vegetarian options (and flexibility to modify dishes to be vegetarian). Has a small town vibe, that we love.Suggest they look into one vegetarian meat alternative as an option - there are tons of choices out there now! (Milestones uses Field Roast sausages on their menu)

Food was typical, except for the baked beans, which was amazing. Service was good. We come here often, but the recent increase in the percentage of the tip option leaves a sour taste in our mouths. It starts with a minimum of 18% and then goes up. Don't get me wrong, I always tip. Sometimes even up to 25%, but I would really prefer having to make that decision. I know it the economy, but we feel the brunt of it, too. We still go out and eat because we try to help the restaurant industry. Not sure if we will ever come back again. Sorry.

Main Street Cafe is all day breakfast place on Stittsville Main Street. They serve authentic and fresh breakfast. Love their bacon, maple syrup pancakes a lot. Locally operated business so I found it a bit pricey compared to other places I visited in the neighbourhood but worth the experience.

This place was so welcoming and the food was absolutely delicious. Haven’t eaten breakfast so good in Ottawa the whole year I’ve lived here. The guy who served us was excellent and the service was fast!

Really great place for breakfast! Traditional breakfast was amazing especially the loaded homefries (onions peppers and mushrooms!). The side of French Toast was just as good.The Service was also exceptional but be warned this place is not offering a “value menu” experience. The excellent quality of the food and service require a premium to match.

Great old school diner complete with the friendly atmosphere. They have thought of the little details that are forgotten by chains, things like homemade jam and option to add mushrooms and peppers to the home fries. Recommended highly!
