Summit Park
Summit Park is a little known jewel in Victoria. It's larger than you might guess and it is filled with the undeniable charm of Garry Oaks. The views are beautiful and it is right next to a main water reservoir. A fantastic place to visit!

Summit Park
Beautiful place to walk. Especially in spring when it's full of wild flowers. Nice little park for the kids and the reservoir is cool too check out.

Summit Park
Nice small park with 180 degrees view. Small playground for kids and no camping allowed. Above park there is an old city water reservoir which is enjoyed by local fowl.

Summit Park
I absolutely love this part but the only reason it doesn't get 5 stars because sometimes the animal control patrol officers hang out there accosting people and putting everyone on edge.

Summit Park
A nice place for a (relatively) easy walk to the top of the hill for good views of the cityscape and surrounding areas. The landscape in the park is a typical uniquely Victoria one. There’s a play area for children and a reservoir area that people run around for exercise after running up the hill.A nice alternative for views to Mount Douglas park.

Summit Park
My favourite neighbourhood park! Gary oaks that look spooky in autumn, berries along the reservoir all summer, and birds year-round. Beautiful mural on the tower and incredible sunset views.

Summit Park
A small urban park on a hilltop (hence the name), this is a good place for a walk in any season. In Spring the Garry Oak meadows are full of flowers (camas, buttercup, crocus and more). Even in winter the park is green with grass and bushes, contrasting with the stark, leafless trees. The main paths are smooth gravel with moderate slopes, suitable for all but the most severely mobility impaired; a wheelchair should be manageable with a bit of assistance. At the top of the hill is an old water reservoir, usually with a few ducks swimming around. There is a level path around the reservoir, but the stairs to reach that level are steep. The park can be a good place for birding, especially in Spring. Dogs are allowed, but must be on-leash at all times. There is a small playground area with swings and climbing bars at the edge of the park. Easy parking is available at the west side of the park, accessed via Summit Avenue (off Quadra Street).

Summit Park
This park changes with the seasons and offers both grand vistas and an opportunity to see beautiful wild flora. Easy walking paths wander through glades of Garry Oak and rock out-cropping. A small play ground, makes this a perfect park to take the family out to experience some Victorian nature and to gain some perspective. There is something magical about the place.
