Ashley at AKA has been the best hair experience! Affordable, speedy service while attending to all your needs/requests. Products smell great and the salon has a warm, welcoming vibe. I love my new 'do!

Two stars because:1) This was a last-minute appointment. I called in the morning and was given an afternoon time slot.2) The price was fairly low. $43 for a dry cut after tax.The experience:My regular stylist at another location was unavailable, and I needed a trim, so I called this place and requested a senior stylist as I am very particular about my hair. I was hoping to get an appointment with some of the stylists mentioned by other reviewers, but I was assigned to Trina (there were no reviews on her).She was chatty and mentioned she had been in the industry for 40 years. This is what threw me off as she could not even clip my hair up properly to do the cut. She kept flipping my hair all over my face, and at one point, she even asked me to hold my own hair on top of my head so she could cut the lower layer. First time in my life when I had ever experienced that with a cut. It's not something I would expect from someone with 40 years' experience.I am glad she only cut the bottom of my hair. I said no when she asked if I wanted to trim my layers. Personally, I find the bottom looks choppy. Like a broom with no texture. At least once it grows, I can get my hair fixed by my stylist.I can't vouch for other stylists here, but I found Trina not up to par. I will not be visiting this location again.

Aka beauty is my go to salon. Once a month my partner and I drive 45 minutes across town because the service/quality is always a solid 10/10Ali is the best barber I have had to date. He consistently delivers a reliable, high quality experience.I will and do recommend this salon to all of my friends.

Today was my first time going to AKA Beauty Concepts and I had a great experience with Andrea! She listened to me to understand exactly what I wanted so she could give me a great service. She took her time to ensure that my highlights came out perfect. I’ve found other hair salons in the past would rush and rinse the colour out even if it hadn’t lightened enough, some even added lowlights I didn’t ask for. Not Andrea! She made sure it was the perfect lightness! She even offered me a delicious espresso while I waited for my colour to set. Andrea was also very kind and easy to chat with. Their sinks are also super comfortable and the lady that rinsed my hair and did my toner was also pleasant and gave a good scalp massage. The cut was also exactly what I asked for. I will definitely be going back to Andrea! I’m glad I’ve found my new go-to salon!

I was looking for a new salon (recently moved to Orleans) and called this one because of the positive reviews. I am so impressed. My stylist did an amazing job and was able to execute what I had a hard time explaining (I had asked for my roots to be highlighted and to have a pinkish toner) Now my hair is champaign blonde and I could not be happier! I really want to post her name so she gets the credit she deserves but I am horrible with names..If you are reading this thank you so much I am in love!Also wanted to mention the staff are super pleasant and the price was less than I thought it would be.

I’ve been going here for a while now and it’s always a great experience. The staff is always very friendly, clean and professional.I’ve been getting my hair cut by Ashley- she is always very pleasant and does a great job.They recently hired a barber, Ali. He is very meticulous and does excellent work! I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for a new barber in Orleans!Thanks for the great work AKA Team!

It all started when I decided to get a mullet hair cut for Canada day. Here I was, the day before Canada day, looking for a hair salon, when I came upon a hair salon called AKA Beauty Concepts. What caught my eyes was the 4.9 star rating and it was at a very convenient location. I must say it 100 percent deserves that rating. I walked in. They had room for me and accepted me gracefully.The salon had a great atmosphere. When you walk in you get this exited feeling. The chairs look like the new movies theater chairs where you fall asleep 80% of the time. It was nice and clean. The staff were all smiles. Showed a picture to my hairstylist and told her what I wanted, she liked the challenge. She Conquered the challenge and made my hair look great. Turns out my hair stylist was the owner of the salon, we had great conversation throughout the whole wonderful experiences. We talked about family and our lives during covid 19. I was astonished to hear she was paying her employees during covid, even when she had no business. What a great boss to work for, I know of a lot of other companies that did not pay there staff. I like to go to a salon knowing that the employees are treated like family.From now on I am only getting my hair cut at AKA Beauty Concepts.Thank you.

My first time at Aka Beauty Concepts, I had a great experience after getting a consultation with Ashly, who was really professional and understood what I was looking for, she also explain me the process. the team was awsome they had a friendly atmosphere every one willing to help. I'm truly happy with them so is my new place since now on.
