Peaceful spot for a pit stop and snack break, love that it is so close to the lake.

A truly beautiful gravel/sand beach on Kootenay Lake with easy access from the highway and shallow waters that are safe for families with kids. Good amenities with toilets and picnic tables. While not right on the lake, the provincial campground across the highway is a great place to stay for a night or two as well. The Bayshore resort next door also has more camping, a small store, and marina as well. For the ambitious back-country type, the 15 KM trail up Lockhart Creek Provincial Park nearby is a worthy adventure too and will make you appreciate the Lake’s cool waters when you get back!

A small campground that is perfectly located next to the beach (just across the road). Spend your day lying on the warm sand in a sunny day or go kayaking, canoeing or SUPing. If you are brave you can try swimming, but the water is quite cold.Be mindful when crossing the road.

Most amazing beach! Grew up close to this place and always went there for swimming as well as for skipping rocks! Flattest rocks in my world! Amazing place for picking up unique rocks and driftwood!

Provincial beach consisting mainly of beach rocks and pebbles, with occasional sand patches. It is nice because it's maintained. Nothing to spend more than 2-3 days though. Swimming and SUPs were the order of the day. Nice to visit, unlikely to return again. This area, like others, does not offer any services whatsoever. There's a Pub about 15 km south that is worth visiting. Other than that, even Creston is marked by a lack of most services. Enjoyed the time with friends in Sirdar though.

Was a nice quick getaway. Almost missed the entrance to the campground. Overshot it a bit coming from the south. The road leading to campground is small and many curves. It is a nice campground. No services, but clean, close to the beach. Was not sure if the trailer would be be okay, as we didn't see any in online photos of campground, so here are a couple of the campsites. Other people had trailer and boats on their site. So the sites are good size. Biggest thing I didn't like (other than mosquitoes) was the highway which you must cross to get to the beach.Nice day on the sandy beach. We didn't catch any fish, but saw someone pull in a nice fish while fishing from shore. Cool.

Great places to get away from the heat. Cedar and fir tree forest provides excellent shade. Situated within meters of a beautiful beach on Kootenay lake and adjacent to the creek and hiking trail.

A nice little beach area! Pretty clean!! Some picnic tables on location. Park across the road from the beach access. It's a rocky beach, but small rocks. There is an outhouse as well. The view is stunning!!

Our favorite place on earth. It's rustic yet safe.Ranger can be found throughout the day and is helpful. There's a hand pump well, the water isn't drinkable but it's great for washing up, the kids love helping get the water. The beach is awful, you shouldn't go there. (Sarcasm)Hahaha. Don't tell anyone how amazing it is please.. just kidding.Honestly slice of paradise. We had two sites.

Mostly deserted on the weekday we were there. The smoke from forest fire at Nelson had really impaired visibility of the neighboring mountains. The beach is fine gravel with some rocks so water shoes would be a good ideaWater wad as warm as you might hope for given the depth and the mountain location.
