Edmonton Sleep Institute

I was very pleased with the service I received here. Kathy spent a lot of time with me and allowed me to try several masks until I found the one that is right for me. Treating my sleep apnea is one of the best things I ever did for myself and the Edmonton Sleep Institute helped me get past my concerns and find the right solution.

I purchased my CPAP machine from them about 8 years ago. They have NEVER, not even ONCE, called me to follow up as they said they would. Seems like they just took the money and ran. I have always had to call them. Not the best customer service, that's for sure. Very disappointed as this was not a cheap purchase.

The service was great when I purchased my Philips Reseronics System One in 2011/2012. Unfortunately it went downhill after that first when I needed to get a replacement for the small hose going from the nose piece to the large hose it was a gong show trying to get them to understand what I needed. After that it was much easier to get my replacement parts on line and a lot cheaper. I found out that most Cpap machines have a life expectancy of 3 to 5 years and the suppliers notify customers when due for replacement no one notified me. Then I found out Resperonics System One where recalled and once again no contact at all. I will be going somewhere else for my new machine.

I've had my Dreamstation for a few years. I heard about the recall notification and registered my machine. I've noticed a black residue on the nose piece filter (dots). Not sure where it is coming from but I am concerned that it may be foam from inside the machine. I Contacted the Institute and they gave me information on how to follow up with Philips. It looks like it will be a while before my machine is fixed. I have purchased a filter to be put on the machine where the hose connects to the machine. This should collect any particles coming from the machine.

These guys are awesome! I got my first CPAP from this office about 7 or more years ago. So, earlier this year, when I suspected that my CPAP had stopped working properly, I went back to them. By then, I was severely sleep-deprived. It was fast becoming safety issue. They responded quickly, setting me up with a home sleep study for diagnoses. Then I saw Kathy. She was so kind and helpful! I was given a CPAP on loan until I could get a new one. This kindness saved me months of suffering and deteriorating health. Thank God for these people!

I gave them one star because I could't give them no stars. I started the process in January 2017 and it is now the end of April and after repeated requests to send the information to my doctor they have still not done this. My doctor herself phoned them and gave her contact information yet they still refuse to send it to her. If you want help with your sleep problem this is certainly not the place to deal with.

Staff was friendly efficient and professional

Excellent and caring service. Friends told me to skip the middle man and buy online because it's cheaper but my doctor explained that it's their hands on service, trials and feedback you are paying for. And he was right.
