What a unique store this is! Staff is great and shout out to James (I believe his name was) for taking the time to help us with our electronic game station! Could spend hours in this store just looking at all the neat items they have.

Very good selection of toys and games. Games for kids and adults are available. Always well stocked. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Slightly more expensive than some other stores.

If you want / need an amazing toy for a child game for an adolescent or a fun adventurous game night for an adult, this is the place to come. They have an amazing selection of anything you/game related. This is not box store but a family run business with owners who care. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I don’t have enough words to post everything they carry so you have to drop in. I’ve bought everything from pool water balls, fun stuffed animals, brain challenging puzzle games to Locked room game sets. They don’t make toy stores likes this anymore.

The coolest toy store in the city! The variety of products they have is limitless! As soon as you see the entrances to the store, you know it's something special, because of the large animal statues and colors that surround the TWO entrances! From all kinds of Lego, to puzzles, to plush animals, to expensive adult collectible figures, to model cars of all sizes, to quirky fidget toys, and any cool item you can imagine! The vibes that come from the music, the lighting, the displays and the sense of style this store has, makes this place worth a trip even if you're not buying anything! Amazing customer service as well, and overall, undeniably the coolest toy store and collectible store in the city!

This toy story has been in Chinook Shopping Centre since my first visit many years ago.The biggest advantage of this store is that they carry more unique toys than the big box ones and Toys R Us. It is jam-packed with toys, board games, plushies, Puzzles, and Legos.Their puzzle selection is huge and includes many, many styles. Their plushies include many Japanese animes, beyond what is carried at other stores.Discovery Hut also has a wide age range of toys so little ones won't be left out while older kids will find cool stuff.Overall, worth popping in!

I went into Discovery Hut (Calgary Chinook) today and there was a young customer service rep who helped my friend and I find the perfect games! His name was Mikey. He was incredibly knowledgeable, I had a million and one questions and he answered ALL of them! He also gave so many great suggestions for other board games. He had a very upbeat personality and was truly a joy to deal with, his attitude was contagious and we had lots of laughs while learning about all these new games. Mikey made a GREAT salesman and is manager material. Though, I didn’t get my price match that I was looking for it was a wonderful experience.

Thank you for the awesome selection of various products from Lego to board games to stuffed animals. I got my gift for my nephew early for the holidays when visiting before he could change his mind. Without having to find a certain giraffe of toy monopoly. It was at same price as posted online at the big box store. I hope to return once I hear from Santa Claus and what anyone else wants.
