Stephenson's Rental Services
I have been consistently let down by Stevensons rental now for years. Every time I try to order a piece of equipment they either don't have it or they say it takes two days to bring in one in reality it takes 3 to 4. This location doesn't understand the concept of customer service. I dealt with the manager Fraser with an issue I was having with a piece of equipment that was broken and he passed me off to someone else as if he didn't care. This place is a disappointment.

Cooper Equipment Rentals
Did a DIY landscaping project needed multiple pieces of equipment for every step of the way. Kelly, Vince and Mike just to name a few were very helpful, and provided great service. Will definitely use Cooper rentals again when my back recovers.

Stephenson's Rental Services
Super helpful and incredibly friendly. Recently rented an engine hoist from this location and dealt with 4 different people through the initial rental, delivery and pickup. Each guy was so nice and amiable. They also have a great range of rental equipment so very helpful for those random projects. Would 100% recommend!

ATS Traffic
These guys arrived with 2 trailers and 40 signs and blocked off part of my road and alley. 1 day of work was all they did. Now theres signs left everywhere and my alley is blocked. They redirected traffic to drive over my neighbors driveway. Brutal.Looked at what they did... they cut out a 4 foot by 2 foot chunk of road. In the same spot they did 3 months ago. Put a plate on it so people can drive on it!! Dont direct traffic onto private property.

Aurora Crane Service LTD
Ordered a crane the first time. all went well and we paid the bill on the spot. Ordered a crane the second time and when it didn't show at the allotted time I called their office. I was told they were busy and had to sub our job to a different company. They had indicated Steve had called us about this and perhaps they did but failed to leave a message. Grand Valley Crane came out, did a reasonable job on Tuesday and when we attempted to pay him he said he would bill Aurora and left. We (Aurora Crane) had agreed on a price on the second lift and when the bill came in for well over the agreed price we disputed it. Obviously the excuse was that the third party crane had to be called and they billed us what they had been billed. Coming from Grand Valley, the travel was quite a bit more. The owner started by telling us we should not have signed their time sheet. The owner gave us lots of advice on carpentry techniques on how to build a roof and how our contractor was screwing us. Obviously trying to deflect blame from the fact it was actually him being not of his word. This discussion was on Wednesday afternoon and when my wife suggested paying he indicated he needed a credit card to process it rather than an e transfer. Steve then showed up on Thursday at the building site unannounced to wait for me. ( I was not onsite that day) As he waited, he proceeded to tell workers on site that they would not be getting paid. I guess he assumed he wasn't.Of course I paid him the next day on Friday and received my bill. Two day turnaround on an invoice. Pretty good? So the crane operators are fine but the moral and ethical compass of Steve is definitely suspect. So beware of all of the free advice and definitely keep him off your job site once his work is over.
