Nails on 130

This is the best place in the McKenzie/Douglasdale area. It is buried a little deep in the back closer to the end of Home Depot and there are many easier ones to find on the 130th strip but none as good as here.I have been coming here both before I transitioned 4 years ago and after and have only ever been treated like a human being and like I matter. This has become my spouse's favorite place as well and we were lucky to get in just before the last shutdown. Everyone is always friendly and calls you by name, you couldn't ask for a cleaner place and the tools perfectly clean as well. I can think of one time over the years I had a problem and I went back the next day and it was fixed quickly. You will be happy spending your money here with the job they do and the cleanliness they provide.

I'm very disappointed with how I was treated in this salon.I was doing some yard work and decided that I would not change from my comfy hoody and sweatpants.I walked i around 1:30 pm and a man asked how can I help you. I mentioned the service I wanted.Clearly there was one staff available and the main lady looked me up and down and said No we don't have time" and then stared at me with no comment. I said ok and how long was the wait shw said again we don't have time in a very rude voice.I will never go to this nail shop.The judgements I have received and attitude in their voices said it all.I felt humiliated walking out."

I was recommended to go there by a friend so I tried it. I hated my nails. I left bleeding, half my nails are crooked and I asked her to fix a few of them which just made them worse. Some are thin, some are thick. I left so upset and no chance on getting my $57 back. I don’t recommend going there at all.

Would not recommend. Went for a new set of nails, it was rushed, the thickness and shape of them are uneven and they did a layer of glitter nail polish on top which is all on the sides of my fingers too. Would have been nice to have the cuticles pushed back before they started too. Looks so sloppy. Will be going somewhere else to get them off as soon as I’m back from vacation. Would def try somewhere else.

The manager lady was very aggressive. She was surprised when I told her I wanted a manicure for my daughter, not for me; her facial impression was really unwelcome, and when I discussed something with her, she left me talking and started talking with another customer, which was very rude. I do not recommend this place at all terrible service .

Wouldn’t recommend. Went in for a shellac manicure and it was the most rushed manicure I’ve ever had. The manicurist didn’t say a word or even acknowledge I was there. Didn’t ask if I wanted nails cut or what shape. I had two colours picked out one for ring finger and then the other but she never asked what I wanted and then when I told her almost messed it up a couple times. She also got up and left by the end and had another staff come finish. The end result was very lumpy and very uneven.

The staff were nice enough but they definitely could have used more bodies in the facility. I also got a pedicure with shellac because I was told it lasts longer, not even half a day after it came off the left pinky toe, so I went in the next day and they were kind enough to fix it :)That evening the right pinky toe lost its shellac and then 3.5 days later another toe on my right foot lot’s its shellac. Why am I paying $50 for something that can’t even hold together….

I could give minus rating if it were an option. I got my nails done here and regretted it while getting the service done. The person doing my nails did it so brutally that it started hurting there and then. She basically chipped my nails so much that it became papet thin and when i asked her repeatedly to be gentle she started yelling in some other language and just simple left my service hot headed. Someone else came to replace her then but even they were as bad.In just a few days, two of my nails got cracked from the middle. I had to be so careful they didnt come off. But with natural growth they still would. And it is brutally hurtful. Today was the day when one of those nails just came off.Most pathetic salon ever! I wish I didn’t visit them.

If i could give them zero stars i would.DONT COME HERE!I came in to take my shellac nails off, and so many things were off.First, they sat me down in the pedicure area so my arms were literally in the air. The were only 2ppl there, plenty of desk area. Why on earth wouldnt you use the manicure area?Second, they take off shellac dry. This is the only place ive had them taken off dry and in the air lol.Third, they dont cut nails or file nails or put any strength nail polish. I had to ask for it and when i did she (the owner, or at least the one who looked in charge) did it so brutally that it hurt.DONT COME HERE!!! This place sucks!GO TO KINGSWAY NAILS (2 blocks north) and they treat you WAY BETTER.I hope management reads this. Specifically the lady who “did” my nails: Lady you are horrible.It was the worst experience ever.Never going back again.

Bad experience, I booked an appointment for my teenage daughter and I had repeated 3 times that she wanted gel nails. They gave her Acrylic nails with an extremely ugly design and different from what she wanted to do.
