Lava Hair
I've been seeing Krista at Lava for more years than I can count. I moved to the Arctic and would always be sure to book when I was back in the city. She recently took me from my medium brown to a bright peony pink, she was very thorough and thoughtful. The other staff were very attentive as I was there for a long time. Also the salon staff very helpful, kind and they keep it so very clean. They are extremely thorough with their Covid protocols, which I appreciate. I highly recommend this salon and have friends and family who now attend the salon for services too. As a tip, there is parking in the lot in front of the salon and there is lots of parking nearby.

This was my first time at Lava and I will absolutely be returning! It’s a beautiful salon with very warm and welcoming staff. I booked in with Reko and I could not be happier. This is by far my favourite haircut I’ve had in years. Reko is so talented and kind, she even took the time to show me how to easily style my new cut when I asked her to. Thanks so much Reko!

I saw Darquyse at Lava Hair and she was wonderful. She was lovely to talk to during my appointment and gave me the exact hair style I wanted! Darquyse is very talented and it shows! I will definitely be back to see her :)

I came here twice and the cuts were good and the stylist was great, but there is a big flaw to their workflow here which I've never experienced elsewhere. The stylist does not meet you or talk to you until a different staff member first washes your hair - the problem here is that the stylist now has no idea what you hair looked like when you walked in nor how you actually typically style it, which leaves it a big guessing game for the stylist. I suggest they change the workflow so that the stylist can at least see you first with dry, normally styled hair before they then attempt to cut/restyle freshly washed hair that just came out of a towel.

Lava Hair is a gem of a salon in Marda Loop. I have been getting my hair done there for over ten years. Cuts, Up-dos, Blow Outs and now some highlights and colour to cover the greys. Viri is not only a great stylist but a lovely person !

I have been getting my hair done at Lava Hair for the past three years, and I absolutely love it. My stylist is Mandy and she is absolutely incredible. She gets my blonde perfect every single time, and is really an amazing artist.In addition to the styling, colouring and cutting expertise, I love the atmosphere at Lava Hair, and I know I can always count on Mandy for a great chat.I always leave feeling refreshed and excited to conquer the rest of my day. I was bit nervous about hair cutting as this was my first experience of cutting in calgary. But Reko did a great job. She was polite, quick and she gave me the style, what I wanted. Their prices are so reasonable. They have very beautiful interior and welcoming environment. Now I need not to search for any hair salon next time.

Booked with Mandy rose, she was quick to respond via Dm, gave me a informative quick consult, estimate and booked me in. When I went in for my appointment she listened and did exactly what I wanted. She was also so careful with trimming my hair and cut exactly how much I told her. Usually my past experience with hairstylist, after colour service they aren’t very gentle with hair especially brushing but Mandy was so gentle and my hair looked even healthier after bleach and colour. The added bonus was her amazing scalp massage! Make sure you book with her especially for highlights. Her Instagram @mandyrosehair
