Scotiabank

Switched to Scotiabank with high hopes but having continuous disappointing experiences at both Red River and Balmoral branches. Young inexperienced (and not fully competent) tellers mishandling my funds = not a lot of confidence there. Managers at the Balmoral site not helpful and with poor customer service. This with very simple deposits etc. Will be returning back to dependable CIBC. Too bad

Always a pleasant experience at this branch. You get timely and efficient service. Plus, staff are friendly,courteous, and willing to go the extra mile.

Well it started by getting ripped off 50 bucks from a bank machine named nexcash. I ask for help to recover it but got a story that it's not a Scotiabank machine so there no liable for the money even know the took fees for using the card which is stealing from a low income person. Then get a letter saying I got my money which they say was 23.50 which was wrong and on top they send me print out off 2 receipt that don't even closely match what I have. So be careful when using other bank machine cause the bank won't help very disappointed if it was me that stole that money I would be in jail just a thought

Here i am. This bank is one of the worst bank i have never seen in the world, nor in my lifetime. The issue i faced is soo big to post here. But the solution is very small which was ignored by them. These people don’t change.I would never recommend this bank to any international students and not even to the localites in Thunderbay.

This branch is prejudice towards Indigenous peoples, I suggest you go with a entirely different bank

Horrible mindless idiots that can't seem to accomplish the most menial task. Massive lines that could move faster if office gossip wasn't constantly occurring at the front. I had to go in three times for the same problem...just found out still not fixed.

Employees were not the problem for me.7:00 am July 29th 2018, I went to take out some needed cash. Luckily the large gentleman passed out in the atm room, only blocked one of the available machines. I continued my transaction, as I kept an eye on him. In Ottawa many bank atm bank doors are locked. To gain access you use your Scotia card to unlock the door. So my question is why this simple security measure has not been implemented... is the safety of your customer, just not a priority?
