Nice walk in from parking area, then a great view of the coast from the point. Keep a lookout for whales, they were feeding in the area when we visited. A great spot to enjoy the coastal scenery, only minutes fro St John's!

very beautiful trail, fairly maintained, watch the first sunrises in north America, a whale was playing in the area, it may be difficult to find a parking, depends on what trailhead you take

This is one of my favorite sections of the east coast trail. Torbay point stretches out into the water with paths and stairs leading all the way down to the rocky tip. The views are incredible, with icebergs and whales visible at different times of year. It's worth checking the weather before setting out, as high winds will make this exposed area very cold.When parking, make sure not to block the road or any driveways, and during the school-year don't park in the roundabout. Stick to the trailway, as the land around it is marked as private property.

Well, not only there is no parking space, it is specifically marked no parking by the local residents so clearly they believe they own this place. The trail is also poorly maintained and almost unpassable about 50 meters in, especially after light rain. This is also true to most so called trails within 20 minute drive from St. Johns. My advise for tourists is don't bother with anywhere around St. Johns.

Very cute trek on well-maintained path to get to stunning views. Totally worth it to be surrounded by the ocean. Approx 1 hour roundtrip.

Amazing! Must go there at least once in your life. I felt like I was in a movie or something. But if you're scared of heights, it might be a bit difficult to go all the way to the edge.

One of my favourite shorter trails on the East Coast Trail. Not too difficult, but gorgeous views and some great lunch spots.

I really enjoyed this trail but came unprepared.First of all: It's a hike trail. You can go with your sneakers and jeans but if you're planning to go early spring (as I did), think twice.There was still a lot of snow and ice and the trail was partially covered. Several trees felt during the winter and weren't properly removed. I went late April there.It doesn't take long to arrive to the coast. The landscape is beautiful and it was the one I most liked near St. John's.
