I am a contractor based out of Hamilton and I must say I've had to come into this place a couple times and these guys do not mess around. There are loaders ready to service you so you are not waiting that long to be loaded. the place is professionally run. Leave it to the Dutch to know what theyre doing when it comes to landscaping. amazing place to be honest the best place ive seen for contractor material pick up. Organized and friendly staff. I was blown away when I was here.

Ordered stone , prepped for 8-9am as specified on the phone, showed up over 2.5 hours late, with no phone calls to let me know , forcing me to work in the pouring rain. Asked to speak with management, I was told they would call me and got no follow up. Pay the extra money and deal with a more reliable vendor, very unhappy with my experience. Will not be referring or using these people again as it is very evident once they have your money they do not care about you.

I was supposed to get a call before the delivery, only got a call after it was delivered. I ordered Graded Soil, supposed to be blended with local sand and clay-based topsoil, our grade soil is screened to commercial standards. What I got was large balls of clay, stones and to top it off, glass pieces in the soil.

Absolutely horrible and a total nightmare!We purchased all the interlocking and natural stone products for our front and back yard from Van Beeks last year and had a great experience.... the complete opposite of what happened this year. Apparently management has gone from one brother to the other since last year.On Monday, we went to Van Beeks with pictures of our backyard steps and measurements as we wanted to replace the existing steps. The young gentleman that helped us at the counter told us we needed 12 step fillers. I’m not a landscaping expert but I knew for 3 Banas natural stone steps I didn’t need 12 step fillers. We walked out and decided to take a look at the yard to determine what colour we wanted. When we went back into the shop we were helped by Megan who was great and took a lot of time working through various different options. She was super patient and thorough. We came back home to make a final measurement before purchasing and told Megan we would call her to place our order.On Tuesday morning, I called first thing in the morning to place our order. The young gentleman who picked up advised that they didn’t have 3 of the 6 feet long, 6 inch rise Banas Steps in Dove Grey in stock. I was quite surprised when he told me they didn’t have them, as the day before they were in their yard. I kindly asked him to double check to which he said that they were probably sold and pending delivery for someone else. I asked him if they had the Banas Rust Remover as I needed that too and he said they don’t sell it which again surprised me as they sell Banas Product. After hanging up I called Banas to see where else they sell their products and called Peel Landscaping and Boulders, both of which had the product but I asked my husband to call Van Beeks once more to confirm as I’d rather support a local business. When my husband called, Suzanne told my husband they had the steps we wanted in stock, along with the step fillers, rust remover and a few other products. We then placed our order as we needed it for this Saturday when we had contractors coming to install.On Thursday, we received our delivery and noticed the step fillers were not the same colour as the Dove Grey steps - also, one had black lines all throughout and the other was majorly chipped.On Friday morning I called Van Beeks first thing in the morning and emailed them pictures. They agreed they sent us the wrong colour (they sent us slate grey) but advised they didn’t have any Dove Grey in stock. At this point we were quite frustrated and knowing that we had contractors coming in less than 24 hours to install was stressful. They told us they would go to Banas and pick them up and would deliver by the end of the day. At 2pm I called just to ensure they were on track which they said they were. At 5:30pm my husband receives a voicemail saying they are sorry and can’t get us the step fillers for today. Thankfully Suzanne picked up who checked the truck and confirmed they had them and we would get them delivered first thing in the AM.On Saturday, our contractors go to install and we notice that the step fillers they delivered this morning are 42 inches instead of 46 inches that we purchased which are too small and wouldn’t work. I called and tried to get through for 25 minutes and then decided to make my way to their shop. They agreed to give us another step filler that would allow us to make all the cuts we needed without being short. Once I came back home, the skid with the steps that were delivered on Thursday was emptied and once the skid was picked up we noticed the driveway is damaged from delivery.Considering I picked up the step fillers at 4:30pm I am now having to pay for the contractors to come back today (Sunday) to finish the steps.Given how much we’ve spent at Van Beeks or even if your a new customer , I feel like our experience with Van Beeks this time around has been a complete nightmare. I understand small businesses are having to make major adjustments during this pandemic but this was a new low and complete disappointment.

I was happy to find a great selection of landscaping rocks at the Van Beek's Mississauga location. The staff there on that day were great and very pleasant. I scheduled delivery with them for the approx 800lbs of rock for a Friday. All good. So I stayed at home that Friday and waited all day and finally phoned the Mississauga location late afternoon to find out when the delivery might arrive. Johnathon transferred me to the shipping manager, Mike I believe, at their Oakville location. Mike seemed quite confused, not aware of the delivery, but agreed to get the rocks to me Saturday, indicating he'd make sure it came earlier in the day. Ok, 1:30 pm comes around, no delivery. So I phone the Mississauga location again. I'm told I'm on the next delivery, and they'll phone when it's shipped. 4:30 pm roles around (they close at 5pm), no phone call, no rocks. So, I phone the Mississauga location again. Surprisingly, a very pleasant woman answers the phone from their Oakville office. She speaks with the owner and tells me the delivery will come. And it finally does, around 6:30/7pm. 2 days waiting, house bound.The moral of this story? It seems the Mississauga staff, as nice as they may be, have no interest in making sure your order is shipped on the date they commit to. It may be best to go to the Oakville location of Van Beek's if you need product shipped, although I believe that's where the shipping manager resides ... so no guarantees.

Ordered 3 types of stone and gravel online on a Saturday afternoon and received my prompt delivery Monday morning. Their call just before the deliver allowed me to properly set up my set up location. The delivery was dropped exactly on my spots w perfect spacing between product loads so as not to mix items. The driver was professional, helpful w advice and skilled in the drop. Great help! Pricing is competitive , but it's service that impresses me. I had visited the Oakville store before and the sales staff there are very knowledgeable and helpful as well. I'd readily recommend Van Beeks and would order from them again.

I have been a client for several years, I like their customer service, however this time I was disappointment with the quality of the soil that was dispatched and not receiving a response to and email send with this feedback.When placing the order over the phone I inquired about the colour of the soil because I want to ensure it was not brownish of grey and I was assured it was black.However as you can see on the picture the soil mix seems to contain a lot of material that is not soil, it dries out very fast and becomes airborne and the colour is light grey.

Would not refund multiple skid deposits. Skid deposit was never printed on invoice. It was made clear to me I paid for a skid deposits when making payment for stone purchase originally. Van Beeks computer system switched over and did not even have any of my many history purchases on file. I believe the skid cost was built into the total with their messy internal computer system. The customer service rep had a bad attitude, was rude with a know it all smirk on her face. You just lost a customer. With the premium high prices Van Beek charges, you think you would have more competent service reps working. Go else where and save yourself 20% easily on the same products at cheaper landscaping yards.Additional the custom stone order I made had alot of bad cuts and mistakes but I worked with it and made it happen, I didn't complain as I had waited way to long for the order. I had to follow up with the order constantly too as no one would ever respond back via email or call.
