Caleb Pike Heritage Park

Out on the bike. Found his awesone little treasure.

Very cool old pioneer buildings. Would have been nice if the historic buildings and public bathrooms were open. It was the weekend during business hours when we went so... if not then, when? Also, it felt a little awkward because there are people living on the property in two houses. There is no delineation marking where the park is and where the people's yards began. It felt like we were literally walking into someone's yard and really depriving these people of their privacy. To add to the confusion, their houses were also old looking pioneer-style houses. I was thinking that I could go and explore them until I got close and realized that people live there. Said hello to a man living in one of the houses. Very very awkward.

The caretaker was friendly and showed us around. Neat historical buildings. Well maintained.

This is a cute little historical park. Cute stop in the highlands.

There honestly isn't much here and I think that's why I like it. It's never busy. I've only ever seen one other person there, besides the caretaker. It's a nice enough place spend less than an hour, or have a picnic. There's only one picnic table, so its a good thing it's not busy. There are some old buildings on the site, as well as the caretaker's. There are also usually deer and wild rabbits around.

Great place for hiking and learning history

Just enough off the beaten track to always have the spot to yourself...a good reminder of what it used to be like out here!

Heritage location. Not much to see or do, but to experience what life was like 100+ years ago.

Visiting the area. A Sunday in August, beautiful day. Whole place locked up tight and can’t even look in windows. Happened to be there when caretaker pulled up. Asked if we could use the locked bathroom and were told no. What an unfriendly waste of time.
