Fantasy In The Forest Art

Such a hidden treasure. The artwork and costumes were amazing. I will definitely be returning next year.

The new structures built were wonderful, and lots of walking room around. Mostly in the shade under the forest trees. The artists were all dressed up, we loved it!

Wonderful as always. Jamie has done a wonderful job or bringing together a number amazing artists under one canopy of trees. In love everytime I visit.

I’ll start off by saying it’s not my thing so I’m not going to doc points because of that. It was actually really neat seeing all these people and exhibits and food in the middle of the forest. Parking was full when we got there so we then had to park a 20 min walk (or 4 min shuttle) into the main location. It is what it is, shuttle drivers were friendly and were always going with 20+ people there and back.There were probably 50 booths there all with art, jewellery, sculptures, photography, garments, food, etc. There was a food truck which was excellent, eating area, surprisingly a Covid vaccine booth, and some people had their own home made food booths which smelled delicious. (Unfortunately I wasn’t hungry or I would have tried some).Prices are what you expect but I wouldn’t complain. People put a lot of effort into these things and went through the trouble of setting up booths, travel, etc. By the time we left the overflow parking fields were completely full which made it hard to get out when people were coming in.If I had a suggestion it would be to have more people guiding cars in the parking lots, spacing them, leaving multiple exits and lanes. I’d also say maybe some queue barriers for those waiting on the shuttle to make it easier for the bus to turn around. I’d also say possibly having some more garbage bins and portopotties in the car back of the main booth locations so people don’t have to struggle to get all the way back to the parking lot. Possibly more seating at the food area as well. That being said it was pretty neat and a decent time killer.

Fantasy in the Forest is a bi-annual art show that happens in a rural area north of Kingston, Ontario. The art show is hosted by local artist, Jamie Brick, and is an exciting step into a small fantasy world where you can patronage and celebrate wildly creative and talented artists.Expect to drive down country roads where you will be ushered to park your vehicle on the event ground if there is space or to park in a field a few km's away and offered a short school bus journey to the event.This event takes place in a very rural area where there is limited cell phone reception and therefore using debit and credit cards for payment is rarely possible. The best option is to bring cash.Keep in mind that these are artists that have spent years mastering their crafts and hours creating their art. Expect that the cost of their art will reflect this. (Pro-tip: a lot of the artists are announced on the Fantasy in the Forest Facebook page ahead of time, check out the artists ahead of time to gauge what you may like and the cost of their work to help you come prepared)The best way to follow the most up-to-date information is to find and follow the Facebook pages.

It was a fantastic Adventure. Very easy to find. Love the costumes. We found items in there you would not find anywhere else. Very unique and wonderful things are. All of the artists were extremely talented. Everyone was so nice even when the heat was blistering. It was such a wonderful event I will be happy to go back again next year. I definitely bought some things there. I absolutely love this place. So peaceful. And beautiful at the same time. Lovely place. I really did feel magical.

Incredible place!! 10/10 will attend next year!
