Sewing and Alterations Uxbridge

I needed a long dress hemmed & other small alterations done. Margaret did a wonderful job & gave suggestions where the fit could be better adjusted. She was fast & affordable. So happy I found her!

Over the past few years I have brought numerous items (double digits) to Margaret to repair as well as create for me. No job was too big (she made a custom canoe cover for us!) or small. Not only has she attended to all my clothing alteration needs (zipper replacements, hemming, stitching and repairing rips) but she has also created home furnishing items like custom bench covers, bolster pillows and bed skirts. Margaret is very methodical and the moment I bring an item to her I can see her mind working as to the best way to either repair my item or bring my ideas to fruition. She is quick, efficient and determined to complete each sewing project in the best way possible. When I asked if she could alter my future daughter in law's wedding gown she told me that she had lots of experience altering wedding gowns as well as repairing other tailors errors. Which reminds me - I was getting dressed for an outdoor wedding this past September and when I slipped my dress on I noticed that the hem had fallen out - I immediately reached out to Margaret and told her about my sewing emergency(!) she dropped what she was doing and repaired it immediately. Thank you Margaret! I have referred several friends and coworkers to Margaret and all have been impressed with her work. If you're looking to have an item created or repaired - I wholeheartedly recommend Margaret - you won't be disappointed.

Oh my gosh! The work that Margaret did on my daughter in law's formal dress was impeccable! So beautiful! And also a very nice lady. She seems to care as though she were sewing for her own family!

Margaret is friendly, talented, reasonably priced and quite good with turnaround times. I have used her for men's pants alterations, evaluation of suit jackets (didn't need to be done) and most recently the repair of the lining on a cherished curling sweater. I highly recommend her.

I had several pieces that I took to Margaret and she was AMAZING. Very friendly and warm. Lovely family around her too. AND her sewing was GREAT and very reasonably priced. I had three pant hems done and they were perfect AND she took an old bridesmaid gown of mine and altered it to be a short cocktail dress. It's so adorable now! Definitely awesome to have a great tailor nearby. Will definitely be using her regularly.

I wanted to have the zipper on my jacket replaced but didn't want to spend too much money. Margaret provided excellent service at an affordable cost and in a timely manner. She took off length in the arms and made nice cuffs to fir comfortably around my wrists and she shortened the length of the coat.
