Mount Doug is a must to go place for visitors and healthy casual walking place after dinner or weekend. You can drive to the top, or walk half hour on the drive path, or walk more in the well marked trails , from easy to advanced difficult level, it's not difficult though, overall , mountain Doug is not tall enough to be a mountain, but it's great place to overlook victoria. Sunset is very quick because sun fall behind mountains, the cove color is amazing after sunset.

Beautiful 360 views of Victoria from the top! Easy hike up to the top or drive up and take a short walk to the summit. Parking is limited at the top.

Perfekt place to enjoy a great view. From the summit parking lot it's only a short walk to the lookout point. Definitely a must go especially when the view is good.

Very neat lookout point right at the top of Mt Douglas. You can walk, bike, or drive up the road and trails. The lookout point is very satisfying, and definitely want to land here on a clear day.

A great lookout point where you get a great 360 degree view of Victoria and its harbour and the Gulf Islands. You can drive up to a parking lot at the top and it is a short uphill walk to the lookout. You can also hike up from the bottom parking lot.

Come here for the best views in Victoria! You can drive up to the lookout if you don’t want to do too much trekking up the hill. There’s a washroom in the parking area just below the summit lookout point.Lots of tourists in the area as well as locals out for their hikes/runs. Summit Park in Victoria is a nice alternative if you don’t want such a large hike up but still want some nice city views.

Very easy hike up to the summit of Mt Douglas. Parking is fairly slim in the parking lot so either you get there early or you get a bit lucky.Easy option is to take the road to the top. But the trails to the top are relatively easy. There was a black diamond marked trail on the way up but it was fairly easy to navigate. If you’re a beginner, just take your time. Lots of places to rest on the way up.Hike to the top, (to both the south summit and the main summit) and back to my vehicle was around 50 minutes. Beautiful 360 degree views.

Great view from the top! Takes about 20-25 min to get to the top (via trail or walking the road to the upper parking lot) from the lower parking lot (lower lot has about 25 parking spots….can get busy mid afternoon on a nice day). There’s a lookout right at the upper parking lot (for those with mobility challenges). A higher look-out can be easily accessed from the upper parking lot via a good trail. Gate to get to the upper parking lot opens at noon so plan accordingly! Dog and I went up the “black diamond” South Ridge trail which was a work-out but not impossible if you are fit and have good shoes. We came back down the road to the lower parking lot. We’ll worth a visit!

As I have difficulty walking I was pleasantly surprised to discover that there is a small car park with spaces for those who have disabled persons' parking permits very close to the summit. There is wheelchair access to a viewing platform and plenty of space to take photos of the lovely view over Victoria. There are a couple of portaloos (portable toilets) available if you're really desperate. There is a dirt path with occasional stone steps that winds its way up to the actual summit: the fully able-bodied can usually get to the top in less than five minutes, with mild arthritis and back pain I made it up to the top with several pauses to rest (and to let people get past me) in just short of 15 minutes. The effort was well worth it for the 360 degree views! There is a circular stone structure with a ledge around the inside that one may sit upon to rest or stand to get a slightly better view. I took photos of the path to the summit, the first viewing platform (with the railings) and the summit so hopefully I'll be able to load them.
