RBC Royal Bank

Worst bank I've ever dealt with. Made me feel ashamed to have had financial hardships in the past and couldn't give me straight answer to direct questions. Used bank lingo and wouldn't explain in plain English. Horrible customer service. Do not recommend

I have never had issues in the bank itself. Although I have encountered issues with their call center. It took one person out of five to resolve the issue .

Worst bank ever! In Lethbridge the lines are never long but you’ll wait 45 minutes. I lost my credit card and it took over a week to receive it. They wouldn’t allow me to pull any of the money I just put on my account 24-hours before, wouldn’t activate the new card that’s coming in the mail. They provided no solutions. They kept switching my call over to different departments because no one could provide a solution. DO NOT TRUST RBC WITH YOUR MONEY! DONT FALL VICTIM TO THEIR SCAM! Pure garbage customer service! They are all incapable - and trust me, I’ve spoke with almost all of them. Not one of them are able to provide a solution to any problems, but all are very capable of transferring your call and putting you on hold.

ATMs close at ridiculous times, I ride my bike in the cold all the time and need to use the ATM in a lot of desperate and emergency situations, and they close the ATMs ALL the time. after the bank closes they lock their ATM doors making them absolutely useless and my entire bike ride for nothing... They put up a sign saying they only open their ATMs during business days and hours, and close and lock their ATMs on sunday, claiming it's for Health and Safety" I cannot use other ATM machines because they don't allow overdraft for emergency situations and they also add $3 charge to my card

This branch isn't awful minus the wait times and the poor attitude I recieved from the teller after I asked to close my accounts. The real problem is RBC as an entirety. 2 weeks, 4 branch visits and I cant recall the amount of phone calls I had to make, and I still didn't have debit cards that worked.

Called in for some simple help with my RRSP & took 25-30 min to get someone on the line. Online shows no appointments (even phone) available until next week. Unimpressed with lack of respect for my time. Asked to communicate by email for some additional services which isn't an option apparently, the option to get helped at RBC is to call in and waste 30 min of your time and then get average service. Hence the 2 star, the advisor on the phone was average. 10/10 recommend if you have time to waste.

Wait times can be extreme. Today I waited in the business" line for 1/2hr. It's happened many times. Tellers are nice and apologetic but must of the wikits are empty of tellers. Cmon Royal Bank. Do better."

Worst possible banking experience I have ever experienced. At the time of this review Oct. 4, 2017 their phone is out of order( didn't pay their bill ? ), I'm in a wheelchair and cannot solve my problem online. Their service simply stinks!

I just stood in line for 45 minutes to withdraw my rent for the month. When I got inside they had 3 of the7 tills running and another line inside the bank. There was at least 4 other “ bank people” standing around talking to each other. What really annoyed me was that there are three other banks visible from this RBC and none of them had lines. Makes me want to switch banks. If you are considering opening an account here maybe look elsewhere!

Trying to get ahold of these people don’t happen, service is terrible
