Home Instead

The Home Instead staff are wonderful and quick to respond to our needs for Mom.

The average PSW in Ontario is paid $18 an hour. Home instead pays their PSW's $13.75. This is an aboutle joke and wouldn't never recommend anyone to work here. They don't reimbursse mileage either. Terrible, just terrible. Not sure how they have employees.

Contacted Home Instead when I needed short notice PSW support. I contacted several others but found HI provided the most thorough, professional response. Maiara visited our home to better understand our needs, and clearly communicated what HI could provide.Once the visits began there was follow up, and commitments were met. The PSWs were excellent, willing to help in any way.I recommend Home Instead.

I would give them 10 stars if I could♥️Such loving, dependable workers. It is evident that they have a heart for seniors. We could confidently leave are mother in their care and she was always happy to see them.

Excellent company! I hired them to help with keeping my elderly mother with dementia in her home as long as possible. Given distance between my home and my mother's, and my own responsibilities (other than my mom), I needed help.The service they provided was truly amazing! From their staff who spent time with my mom, to the staff in the office, they all took the time and compassion to see to her needs and provide not only help with daily tasks, but also companionship. They also very importantly provided me with peace of mind knowing she was well looked after. If I needed to call them, calls were always returned quickly, and they never hesitated to work with me if changes were needed.When the time came that my mom did need to move into an assisted living retirement home, they were more than willing to continue and help her with the transition. It is a big transition, especially for someone with dementia, but they truly helped her (and I) make it easier.Best experience with this company...far more than I expected!

Home Instead allowed me the opportunity to continue to have my mom remain at home with me as she needs assistance with personal care and companionship. The staff are very professional and look after her needs by follow her usual routine so this helps to decrease anxiety and confusion. It's makes me very comfortable in leaving my mom in their care.
