These guys were great. Took good care of my property after a leak and it looked great after. My insurance hired this team and these guys took care of the rest. Moved all the items to storage as required and actively managed the restoration efforts.Corey managed the whole operation both on and off site and was always there for phone calls.

very slow response. when my house was break-in, the water pipe was leaking. I called them, atfer 15 days, they come fixed the water pipe valve. bacause this company is designated by Max Insurance. I cannot touch anything except this company. If you call the manager (Corey), often hang up without waiting for you to speak.for Max Insurance, I called tons of time to Max Insurance adjuster, never can reached. always goes into voicemail.

I endured a flood at my home, Winmar was prompt and sent crews immediately to start remediation works. They also sent over a Project Manager over (Mark) who was knowledgeable and understanding.Winmar monitored the basement and ran dehumidifiers for two weeks after the event to ensure the basement dried out.When it came time to rebuild the basement the construction manager (Larkin) was responsive to our selections of colors and millwork as well as getting crews and dates secured.The crew that worked on our basement Roger, Kim, Tony were excellent... their drywall, paint, and millwork quality was top notch.Winmar could do a better job in their communications but at the end of the day the job was completed correctly with a good level of quality in a reasonable amount of time.At the end of the day when Winmar is called to your home it’s probably because you have had a disaster and it’s never an easy situation. They are understanding, responsive, and professional.

We have nothing but praise for Winmar Property Restorations. From start to Finish Tim and Mark and all those involved with our project were professional, efficient and polite and they always returned phone calls. Thanks to all the Winmar crew and Floorscapes crew who worked with Winmar for a job very well done!! We love our new home!

Our basement flooded last June and we just dreaded all the time and energy that was going to be needed to get everything back to the way it was. Winmar came in the next day and took over. The teams they have sent were hard workers, respectful and professional. From start to finish this process has been painless. So thanks again to everyone at Winmar!!!

Great experience overall dealing with WINMAR for our kitchen repair. Our contractor Mike was very professional, detail oriented and punctual.

The construction coordinator (Larkin) and their sub-trades delayed the repair work for my condo unit for 4 days without properly communicating their changed plan to me to get my consent. Work was originally planned to be completed last Friday. This work delay is causing me to change my and my wife's work plans for the coming week (impact: loss of income), and is continuously causing serious inconvenience to entire family due to appliances being unavailable (e.g. frozen food items are now spoiled as the refrigerator needs to be empty), furniture and other items being in the bed rooms leaving very tight access and living spaces, etc.This crew decides work scheduling by themselves without the owner's consent, and the construction coordinator has no initiatives and needs to be contacted by the owner to get trade people come in so work can proceed. Additionally, the construction coordinator is not fully aware of the complete work scope. For example, construction coordinator did not know that my bedroom door frame will be ripped and replaced. Construction coordinator also lied to me that my refrigerator water line has been reinstated, but it is not.I hope Winmar owner/leader would take a serious action on this. Honestly, I chose Winmar for this repair work over another contractor even if I need to pay extra. But now, I am thinking I may have made the wrong decision! I understand that not all repair work will run smoothly. But as an owner, I should have been given due respect in rescheduling the work activities as it is seriously affecting my family now.Update from last review: I contacted another staff from Winmar (Corey) and asked for his help on this issue. Corey handled the situation very well, and the repair work is now completed.

Winmar were called in by my insurance to perform emergency work as a result of flooding in January. Great initial work to wrap personal property and get them into dry storage and perform emergency work to prevent further damage. But that's where it stopped. The estimate provided was very low and did not factor in other damage done by their emergency work. Subcontractors came to the house with sparse work orders and refusing to do work as the damage was more than what they were told to repair. Subsequently went with a different contractor that was able to complete the repairs and noted damage as a result of trim removal etc. Back to the personal property.. it started coming back but a number of items were damaged or missing. Insurance reached out to them and only a box of clothes were returned. Still no word on the destroyed set of drawers, or other damaged items so would urge you to consider other contractors before looking at Winmar! It's been about a month and they haven't been in touch with my insurers.

These people randomly showed up at our home at like, 8:30 in the morning. We were never told a time of arrival. Upon entering our home, they complained relentlessly about having to wait, we continued to explain that we needed an actual time in the future. We were never informed that we would need to remove all of the furniture from kitchen, dining area, living room, AND bathroom. They initially tried telling us to move it out… WHERE?? With this little notice?? They asked us if we could move the stuff really quickly so they can start.. uh, no.. we have to work in half an hour.. so we went to work, got home at night because some people have to work late… asked them to reschedule as we needed time to move our furniture while also trying to work full time with absolutely zero notice. They decided it didn’t work for them, so we’ve had to change our schedules around and trust random strangers in our home while we work..So ok, whatever. We will work all day and then come home to move our entire home around with no notice so you people can come in and scrape the ceiling apart…After we had ALREADY confirmed the next day would work, they went ahead and emailed the condo board and complained that I “wasn’t ready” for them. They threatened to charge me if a reschedule was needed and threatened to charge me if my stuff wasn’t moved. In this Same email, they asked that the condo board and landlord ask us to confirm access. Even though we already had confirmed it…. And of course I wasn’t ready for you…you have given me NO notice to move basically My entire house! Did I mention that I’ve been extremely unwell, too..It’s their responsibility to let the condo board know that tenants will need to move their entire house for them to work. The lack of communication on their part is unprofessional, especially considering they went ahead and complained about it afterwards. Anytime a company has actually sent out a notice, I’ve received it. I initially assumed bad communication on the condo boards end, but after reading these reviews, it makes a lot more sense.All these people have done so far is complain, reached out and whined to the condo board about their own lack of communication.. What a circus.You had known for weeks that you were coming. Why did you not make sure tenants knew what work you’d be doing and to move their entire house around for you?? Why did you not send out an email with information on how tenants could be prepared for this work being done?? We literally had no idea what to expect, because THEY didn’t communicate, and now they are the ones whining. Why would you email the condo board and my landlord to make threats and demand access that you’d already been granted!? That doesn’t cause negative repercussions for me, but does solidify my bad review and the fact that I will always make sure to share my poor experience with this company anytime someone I know needs restoration work done.Did I mention that this damage wasn’t even caused by us..? This was caused by our upstairs neighbour.. so not only is this already an inconvenience, but this company has made the experience much worse than necessary.Do better as a business.

We recently had a leak from the condo above us and needed bathroom ceiling repair. We had an amazing experience with Mike!!! He was very professional at his job and we had great communication with him about the time it would take. He did Great job on our bathroom and also he is very clean which we appreciate so much.He was also SO amazing with our 3 year old daughter who asked him about 1000 questions. Thank you Mike and Winmar !!!
