Health in Focus Sports Injury & Rehab - Downtown

The Health in Focus is a friendly, clean facility in the downtown. The receptionist Emma was helpful and polite. Maura Leslie the physiotherapist was relaxed and comfortable taking a thorough history, and competent performing the physical assessment. Maura has a specialized area of expertise and she prescribed exercises and ensured I understood the routine. A follow up appointment was booked in a reasonable length of time.I feel fortunate to have made contact with this clinic.

Krista is my favourite massage therapist I’ve ever had. She takes incredible care to treat the whole person - and to listen to what exactly it is you need, and respond accordingly - showing adaptability, skill, and creativity in her approach. She’s very intuitive in her movements and is in tune with somatic responses. I’ll go in with a pain, and she will work not only on the spot but on all the areas connecting to it with such great knowledge and attention to detail. She has been a part of my self care and maintenance for years now. Despite being an incredibly skilled massage therapist who really makes a lasting difference in the body through her techniques, she is also a wonderful person who works hard to build a comforting and relaxing atmosphere. I recommend her to everyone :)

I can honestly say Health in Focus changed my life. I have never felt so hopeful about getting to point of living pain free. The entire environment is incredibly supportive and every appointment gives me joy. I would definitely recommend them to anyone and everyone!

As a senior, I highly recommend this treatment facility. I was not kept waiting and having filled out all the info necessary in advance. I was able to proceed quickly to the treatment room.The massage was expertly given and I left feeling like a new woman! I’ve had a great experience working with Zach to fix ankle mobility issues and working on spine discomfort via in person and self directed exercise. He was very attentive and lead my progress through a solid needs based assessment. He helped me feel confident in getting back into lifting heavier weights again. I highly recommend this place for sports therapy and rehabilitation.

I was having serious back spasms and sent an email..an immediate response allowed me to go to the downtown location to see Kurtis. I honestly can't say enough about Health in Focus. Best decision I made regarding my wellbeing. Thank you again for being awesome!

Karin is a fantastic massage therapist. She takes the time to diagnosis problem areas and showed me stretches as well as a great massage. I highly recommend her.

Knowledgeable and confident when giving information. Direct and sets a plan. I asked questions he gave me direct answers that I could understand. Asked me my goals and set a plan.To me it’s comforting knowing when someone knows what they are doing and shows this through their actions and how they deliver information.This was a great first experience and I plan to continue with treatment at this facility

I just finished a massage therapy session with Kurtis. He is an expert in his field; extremely knowledgeable, and very friendly. His workplace is kept very clean and all of the staff there are so nice- including the dog. I’ll definitely be back in the near future. Thanks Kurtis
