Golden Rice Bowl
This is a family favourite. Their prices have gone up quite a bit but we still enjoy dinner and dim sum (best siu mai in the city in my opinion) here. Food is delicious and service is great.The space is big and can be fancied up for parties or celebrations - other Chinese restaurants don’t look as nice inside.

Golden Rice Bowl
We went for a sumptuous dinner last night for my son’s birthday. Great food, great service, awesome experience with the robot which sang a “ Happy Birthday “ song for my son.Highly recommended. We will definitely come back!

Golden Rice Bowl
Absolutely lovely staff! The robot was fun to watch, and some of the servers went above and beyond with their care. The service was a bit slow, but the lady that guides the robot was incredibly kind and attentive which made up for it. Congratulations to the restaurant being 50+ years old!

Meh. Nothing awful but nothing great either. I will say my review is based on an extremely busy evening at the golden rice bowl and that should be taken into consideration. The place was very clean and the staff did everything they could to keep the train on the tracks. It was Chinese New year's with two performances of lion dancing. We had a reservations and waited over an hour to be seated. The place was packed wall to wall. Food was fine,. I am personally not a fan of dim sum, however the food was presented nicely and lots of people enjoyed it. Just not me. I will try it again on a less busy night.

Best dim sum in Edmonton! Love the atmosphere and variety. It was tough during covid when the carts were not allowed to circulate. The best part is to have the carts out with the lovely staff offering what they have. If you are new to dim sum, the staff will explain and if not there is a menu so you can ask for your faves!

After reading other reviews recommending this for dim sum, I ventured forth with for friends. We arrived at opening time, and there was a line up.We were quickly ushered to our seats and I explained that we were new to the dim sum experience. The only reply we got was, so you want dim sum?"Yes

Golden Rice Bowl
My wife and I were lucky enough to be invited for dinner tonight, at this well established restaurant. We had no idea the treat we were in for! The food was absolutely perfect, with HUGE portions and lots of variety. Our server, Karen, was very attentive and caring. She was so friendly, even sharing pictures of her beloved cat. A few times during the meal, I glanced around the restaurant and, from what I could see, everyone was enjoying it as much as we were. Apparently, they opened in 1975 and, my assessment of the interior is that most of the decor was original. Would that stop me from going back...no way. I've been to far more fashionable restaurants that looked good, inside and out, but failed to impresses like Golden Rice Bowl. We will definitely go back. Outstanding!

Golden Rice Bowl
I had a great experience at Golden Rice Bowl. We had a delicious Dim Sum of shrimp and pork Siu Mai, steamed coconut buns, barbeque pork buns and a few things I forgot. The curry squid was a bit of a miss but we still ate the whole plateful. On the whole, everything was excellent.What really stood out to me was the exceptional service we received. The staff at Golden Rice Bowl provided fast and cheerful service, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made you feel valued and appreciated as a customer. The dining room was roomy, bright, comfortable and filled with sumptuous colours. Food always tastes better when your eyes are happy.Overall, we had a fantastic dining experience at Golden Rice Bowl. With delicious food and attentive service. This is a place that I'll be coming back to in the future!

Its been years since I been to this restaurant since my childhood and teenager years. Not because of management more sanitary and this time it is better.The food is really good. I recommend salt and pepper pork ribs or chops. Great amount of heat.Even the black cod with tofu is amazing. Crispy cod and silky tofu. Garlic chicken is also good with crispy chicken skin and perfect amount of soy sauce. That the dish is not too salty. The lobster with noodles is good too.Oh even the deep fried fish is really good. Way better than Sai Woo in Chinatown.The only complaint is the white rice is a bit mushy. Do they still serve almond cookies? I miss their almond cookies.Highly recommend coming to this restaurant. I wonder how good dim sum will be here. You may get the chance to see kitty server.

Went for dim sum. It was overall good and would return, however it is not my favorite location in Edmonton. We were a group of 8 people and we were seated quickly and without a reservation. With all of us ordering, it came out to be approx $25 per person - inclusive of tip. I'd recommend starting with 1-2 dishes selected by each person or you'll have too much food. Always easier to get more!They have a robot here which was fun to watch and have food delivered to you.Recommended items for Dim Sum:Coconut bunsSquid in curry sauceSteamed Pork bunsShrimp and pork dumplingsShortrib Sticky rice
