Never been here, (nor would I ever) but currently its a crime scene. Complete with yellow tape and more cops & flashing lights then you can shake a stick at.Avoid !

That was the first place that I visited in Vancouver I liked it by that time and I still like it !! Is one of those places where doesn't matter how you are dress or how fancy is the place, you still going to receive a good service.

Interesting crowds and very friendly staff, if your a very open and non-confrontational person you may just enjoy it there

Has really been cleaned up through covid. Most of the trouble makers are banned which makes it feel a lot more welcoming being where it is. Karaoke on Fridays now! I think they're doing live shows on weekends, and Ive heard through the grape vine they might start doing open mics!

It's actually known as The Grand Union by most. It's a relaxed atmosphere place. Friendly staff. Price of a drink, not bad at all. Has outside patio in the shade of the afternoon sun. Wheelchair accessible and there is pay parking across the street. At East Hastings St & Abbott St in the DTES alongside of Gastown.

Smells like urine and BO. Feels more like a homeless encampment.

This bar knows exactly what it is. Simple, low-key, catering to the old local folk who just want to down a beer and get down to some old-timey country jams. The beers are cheaper and just as cold as any other joint, but the clientele is much less judgy.

Great bar. Fantastically friendly staff, very interesting and friendly patrons, clean washrooms, and and unbeatable drink prices downtown.
