Our experience at Independent Goldsmith was incredible! From start to finish, Tony and the team at Independent Goldsmith were super helpful and informative in answering any of our questions. Tony worked with us to create my custom engagement ring and it exceeded my expectations. We will definitely be back for our custom wedding bands! I'm so impressed with the quality of work and the level of customer service from this small family business. Tony made getting a custom engagement ring designed a piece of cake! Some of my friends spent weeks looking for rings whereas it took literally 15 minutes here. Walked in, told him what I wanted, negotiated price and lead time. Done! And I had a complicated situation of reusing diamonds from old rings. He even resized the ring for free after I proposed! Definitely ask for Tony. Super nice, super genuine, and makes beautiful jewelry!Also she said yes!

We worked with Tony and his partners on both of our wedding bands and they did an ABSOLUTELY amazing job. Far surpassed our expectations. And their prices was very competitive and well worth the quality that you get!He accommodated me in making a last minute change to my band where I switched out 4 of the diamonds on the back for sapphires (blue is my favourite colour). He did this on time and with no problems.I would hands down recommend Tony to anyone who is wanting to get custom jewellery! He was so fabulous to work with and his work is outstanding.

Very happy with my experience here! Brought my wife's engagement ring here to get it fixed after it had become deformed and the original jeweller that made the ring refused to repair it. Linda was so friendly and pleasant to work with. Was quoted $150 through email and they were more than happy to honour the price. I required same day service done, which was an extra $20 (more than fair). The goldsmith came out to examine the ring and explained everything to me very clearly. One of the smaller diamonds on the pave band was damaged and needed to be re-set, which they did. They also polished and re-tightened the main diamond for me for a small fee, making the ring look almost brand new! So happy with the quick, professional service and how amazing the workmanship was. I will definitely be returning for all of my future jewellery needs!

WOW! - this word sums up my experience working with Tony and the wonderful ladies at this shop. From the first time I stepped foot in this place , I was treated with respect and all my questions were answered thoroughly and respectfully. I wanted to have an 18k yellow gold ring made with diamonds and Tony was very helpful in working with my ideas and also great at suggesting other ideas like any good jeweler would. As the man designing my item, he had recommendations on what would work best or look better and suit the ideas I wanted to go with. In the end we came up with a beautiful and unique design at a fair price. I had the choice to pay a deposit first and pay later or pay the whole thing up front, which I did. I had already read some reviews so I was confident in m my decision to choose to work with Tony, especially after speaking with him. The whole process was very easy. Once details were finalized, during the process he promptly answered my questions via email or called me to speak (almost immediately , to my surprise). After a week into the process, I was shown a wax mold of my ring-to-be. It looked cool but was difficult to imagine what it would look like but Tony assured me it would look expensive and very high end oncr casted. After a total of 3.5 weeks it was done (was quoted 3-4 weeks). I couldn't be happier. This is a piece I will cherish forever and am soon going to have another made and will go nowhere but here. Tony did an amazing job with our custom ring. From the first call over the phone, Tony was very accommodating. He finished our custom ring within 3 weeks of the first call despite it being one of the busiest engagement seasons in December, and their usual process being 4-6 weeks. Tony allowed us to be part of the process at every step from design to completion (i.e., polishing) and went above and beyond to make sure we were always comfortable. My fiance loves the ring and we would highly recommend Tony to anybody! Tony is a master of his craft.

We had never done anything like this before and I was really nervous about it. Tony spent time with us, answered all our questions, and showed us styles that would enhance my solitaire. He provided sound advice without being pushy. Once we reached our decision, he carefully and throughly explained what was involved in the process and even drew a diagram to illustrate the end result. Tony offers fair pricing and delivers on the agreed upon date. We were delighted by the stunning beauty and quality of the rings and Tony’s superb craftsmanship. We commissioned these rings as a custom piece based on my favorite movie “Howl’s Moving Castle”.Throughout the entire process they provided regular updates. I appreciated being kept in the loop and having the opportunity to make any necessary changes along the way.Once the rings were completed, we realized the ruby stone would be more fitting for me so we asked if it was possible to switch it. They were so kind to make this change for us even though the rings were already finished.The final product is absolutely stunning.The craftsmanship is impeccable, and the attention to detail is evident in every aspect of the ring. They had truly brought our vision to life, and I am beyond thrilled with the end result.Overall, I highly recommend Independent Goldsmith for anyone looking for a custom piece of jewelry. I can't say enough wonderful things about Independent Goldsmith and particularly about Tony. I originally found them when I was looking to have a simple repair done on my engagement ring (which had been purchased via another jeweler), little did I know that they would end up being the ones to reset my ring and give it new life after a terrible experience with the jeweler I had purchased it from.I was beside myself when my engagement ring was continually damaged because of the poor craftsmanship of the business I bought it from. I brought it to Tony and asked for his help and from the first moment that we discussed the project he made me feel SO incredibly confident that he would help me and bring my ring up to the standard I always hoped for. Tony had me come in to review a physical mock up of the new setting, showed me the designs in 3D on his design software and made sure I understood every step that he was taking to deliver me the ring that I wanted.When he called me to tell me that my ring was ready (ahead of schedule) I was so excited to go in and pick it up. The ring looked better than it ever had before and even better than I could have imagined. I was so relieved and grateful for the work that Tony did for me. He continuously made me feel like he truly cared about my ring the whole way through and it showed with the end product.I would recommend Tony and Independent Goldsmith to anyone looking for a jeweler in Vancouver or beyond. We highly recommend Tony from Independent Goldsmith for any custom work. We decided to come by after reading the glowing reviews online and we're so glad we did!!!!We came with a picture of the ring we tried on elsewhere and together with Tony, we were able to get it customized to our exact liking. Tony picked out a few gems for us to choose from and even when we weren't sure if we liked any of them, he went to get a few more from other places. He invited us to the back office and even stayed behind after hours too to make sure we're happy with the design. We never felt rushed or pressured at all. In fact, he made the whole process so enjoyable - something we didn't expect!We'll definitely be back to get his help for our wedding bands and perhaps for other accessories in the future.
