The hotel is incredibly clean. The room was large with a balcony with a view of the water (worth the extra money). Everyone I dealt with was polite and helpful. Well located. Within walking distance of many restaurants. I would not hesitate to stay at Castel de la Mer again.

My wife and I stayed here while travelling to eastern Quebec. Normally I don't like motels, but I must say... this motel far exceeded my expectations.Room was nice, clean, and modern.I will definitely be staying here again.

Convenient hotel with clean spacious rooms with a few restaurants within a short walk. Very friendly staff as well. Great price for the area too. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is the walls are a bit thin and I could here the people in the room next door. No big deal but it might be to some. My room had a cute balcony that unfortunately I couldn’t use for the weather didn’t cooperate. I’d gladly stay here again.

Simple but modern rooms and ours had a view of the river. I really liked the location... a couple of kilometers from downtown La Malbaie, but on the same street as several good restaurants, so we never had to drive to get to dinner. We also appreciated the very affordable continental breakfast after paying a lot for breakfast at other hotels on this trip.

We stayed in a studio king. It looked newly renovated with a small kitchenette, a table at which to eat inside, and a small table on the balcony. Enjoyed our stay and a good location for a morning walk along the water a few blocks away.

Great rooms, large and lovely and very clean. There was even real milk for the coffee! Small details and presentation made for a very nice experience. We were three in a room with double queen beds and I didn't cover the bill, so I can't speak about price.

Hôtel-Motel Castel de la Mer
This is a wonderful place. The service is excellent and the rooms clean and comfortable. Our unit has a wide deck catching the morning sun and a view of the St. Lawrence River. Within steps you can stroll down a little street with restaurants, cafés and quaint boutiques. This is our second stay here.

I really enjoyed this hotel. Our room was spacious and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed a nice walk to the casino, located about 20 minutes away. The breakfast was affordable and generous. I would definitely return.
