Wilson’s Your Independent Grocer Ottawa

Very bad overall, often expired food, meat is packed and left for days, understaffed, no bags for car pick up, the meat looks like they used a chainsaw,They seem to subscribe to the motto “We aren’t happy until you aren’t happy”

Wilson's Independent is a supermarket located at the corner Alta Vista drive and Bank St. I like shopping there because they have weekly specials and the meat selection is fresh and reasonably priced. The store shelves are well organised and the store is well lit and clean. Staff are friendly and will try to help as best as they can. Also the parking lot is a perfect size for shoppers of the store Despite that there are other stores in this mall, it feels like their parking spaces are just dedicated for their customers. This makes it so much easier to park your car closer to the store and even find your car after shopping. During the spring time they have a nice affordable nursery outside that sells beautiful plants, flowers and small shrubs that are great to dress up your garden.If you like my reviews, photos or videos stay independent in all of your president's choices.

STAY AWAY from their discount prepared food (chicken) combos. They will serve you re-fried dried chicken that tastes like it belongs in the trash. I have made the mistake of getting these deals" on numerous occasions only to find that my teeth almost broke. This is very underwhelming. I bought 12 wings and potatoes the other day for $10 (apparently this was 50% off)

I really like this grocery store because it’s decently sized but not too big to the point where it’s overwhelming. It has everything you could want but it’s also easy to go in and find something specific quickly. It is a little dated inside but it’s not really a big deal because everything seems clean. I haven’t had too many interactions with workers but the ones I had they were polite and helpful

Grocery shopping is usually fun but when you walk into a store where every staff member has no problem being outwardly rude to you and to make you feel unwelcomed while trying to shop.....makes me as an Ottawa native never want to set foot here. The store is always empty the few times I shopped here in the last 3 decades. I can understand why, people who work here are hostile and I am sure it starts at the top. How do you expect to have a successful, bustling business with a horrible attitude? Why are you even there? It's just odd behaviour!

It's a small location but they surprisingly have everything that you probably need in a grocery store. The prices are decent and the location is pretty convenient. I don't know why I keep forgetting to go to this grocery store and go to billings or south keys instead.

A man who works at this store, he is short and brown skinned. Seems like a manager of some sort? Wrongfully accused me of stealing. Not only are the staff here completely unprofessional, the produce and the space in the general are DIRTY. Do not come here

So this morning. I ordered 16 chicken wings *no sides* from the hot take out and was charged $28.64 dollars.... vs the 15 dollars for 16 chicken wings. Has that happened to anyone else?

Nice staff, not big store but have everything that fulfilled all needs. Garden center is cheaper then other garden centers.

More expensive than Loblaws! Eye drops anywhere else about $12. At THIS IGA over $20. How is that justified? Food prices On Sale" are cheaper than other IGAs"
