Kids have attended JK through grade 3 so far. Experience for them has been great. Individualized attention and lots of focus on “meta skills” like growth mindset, public speaking, team work and community.

Great school, love the specialty classes - teachers are engaged and genuinely care about the education of your children. We have been at KBS for 6 years now and it has been a fantastic experience. The new school building is awesome and poised to grow over the next few years.

Amazing school, kids truly get the individualized attention they need, caring staff and beautiful, clean facility. The School Head, Mr. White, the office manager Mrs. Wallace, and the grade 1 classroom teacher, Mrs Hall, and so many more all go above and beyond for my son, and for his ongoing learning.The care they show is exceptional, we cant wait to see all of our kiddos grow and become their best, thanks to KBS!

KBS is an incredible school. One of the best academic programs as well as very practical, life skills taught at this school. Amazing community, fantastic teachers, amazing music/art program, daily phys-ed and more!

Good school. Go talk to them to decide if it's right for your family. It likely will be. You must stay engaged or any system will fail.

My daughter has been at KBS since JK and she's now in Gr.7. We left the school in Gr.4 due to moving further north, and tried the public system. She enjoyed the 'no homework' policy and being top of class in the public school .... at first... but by mid year she was bored. We were back at KBS the following year. She was never and is not top of class at KBS, however, she appreciates the challenge and she feels she is getting the best preparation for high school, as do I. We have been and are very pleased with KBS. Before you discount the option, take a visit:)

Administration is very disorganized and slow to respond to parent questions (if at all). There are better options out there.

My son is currently in Grade 8 and my daughter in Grade 6. My only regret is we tried the public school system for as long as we did. I think it would do a disservice to the school to focus in on the reasons we switched to KBS, obvious they were not trivial. I think it speaks more of why we as a whole are a KBS family and will be proud to continue this feeling and support long after our children have taken the invaluable skills and experiences with them. We had a rather idealistic idea of what school would be for both our children and us as parents. We saw ourselves as being involved and working with the faculty to raise our children. We thought we would be a part of our children's school life, for something other than fundraising. We thought we would know what went on in the classroom. Naively we thought our child's growth both academically and emotionally would always be put first. This obviously was not our experience until that is, we came to KBS. I can say wholeheartedly that our idealistic view of the world for our kids has been realized at KBS. Instead of a few good teachers in a dysfunctional system. We have an entire family of dedicated educators working together for the whole of KBS by paying attention to the individual.
