It’s a pretty fantastic Japanese restaurant that focuses on high quality ingredients. We had a large party so we had to put in the order ahead of time. The atmosphere was really nice and the staff were busy but still friendly.I had the deluxe seafood bowl which was not cheap but the ingredients and the quality of the overall food made it feel like it was worth the hefty price tag.Other food was generally delicious but if you want the best bang for your buck, I would suggest the katsu.The cocktails were also quite tasty. I had the yuzu flavoured drink with the yuzu infused ice cream which was perfect on the hot summer evening.I highly recommend this place for any occasion, but especially birthdays because it seemed like almost every other table was celebrating their birthday. I know this because the staff would come up and sing you a song with a nice dessert. Overall I had a great experience and would come again to try other menu items!

Highly recommend this restaurant - food was fresh and delicious (looked great too!) at a reasonable price, the decor made me feel like I was transported out of North America, and staff were friendly and attentive. Brought my friends here, and they thoroughly enjoyed their experience too!

This restaurant has consistently been amazing. Excellent service, high-quality dishes, fresh ingredients, all wrapped up in a beautiful restaurant setting. I never hesitate to recommend this gem of a Japanese restaurant. Bonus: they are so family-friendly and serve the best children’s meal

We were after their uni dishes so when found out it was not available that day, we were very disappointed. We ended up ordering two sushi dishes and three meat dishes.We actually liked those three meat dishes (steak on garlic rice, hamburg teishoku, and menchi-katsu) better than the sushi. They were all juicy and tasty, probably the best we had ever had in town.We left very full, happy, and satisfied. We look forward to coming back for more good surprises!Excellent service…staff were all genuinely nice!

Definitely one of the best Japanese restaurants in Vancouver.Food and service were great.The menu is big.The rating is also based on the fact that parking is not very convenient and we did not see access for handicapped individuals (maybe we missed it!).We will try it again and this time we will try reserving in advance the lunch/dinner/bento boxes.

Great value for the uni omakase. With 125 per two, you get 6 dishes + 2 drinks! Also uni was not top grade and not that sweet, but fresh!

Patio alfresco dining and we have to take off our shoes. Restaurant is busy and we were given 2 hrs (1830-2030) to eat and vacate. Sashimi is fresh and service team is very polite. Wonder bday dinner celebration.

Raisu is an incredible sushi place that have left speechless with their Otoro Deluxue Seafood Bowl. The fatty blue fin tuna sashimi just melts in your mouth! I also tried the sashimi platter that came with various selections of fish, and all of them is delicious! Staff are friendly and attentive! I highly recommend this place if you want to try the ultimate sushi experience in Vancouver.

We had a group of 9 people and made online reservations. However, since the online reservation system only allowed for up to 6 or 7 people, we had to make two separate reservations. As a result, I had to ask another customer to switch seats with us in order to have the group seated side by side.The staff did their best to accommodate us, but if you have a large group like ours, it's better to call Raisu directly for reservations.As for the food, I ordered the Deluxe Seafood bowl, which was nice. The presentation was great, and the seafood was fresh. The taste was good, but not particularly surprising.Others in our group had the wagyu garlic rice, I tried a piece of wagyu beef but I found the beef slightly overcooked. The Omakase Aburi Sushi and Pork Cutlet Curry Udon were fine, and the chicken karaage was average. We also ordered the Shokado Bento, which consisted of 9 small dishes. It was decent, but nothing outstanding.

Very cute restaurant with really great staff.In terms of food, there was a large variety of Japanese foods on the menu, from sushi to bento to udon.The food was beautiful to look at as well and generally good to eat. I recommend the sashimi and all the sushis more than their hot dishes.
