We bought a home from this builder, and since we took possession, it has been one problem to the next. All around poor quality control. Very little customer service. The Eleven month warranty for finishing means absolutely nothing. My list of defects has not been fully addressed. I've reported problems with pictures multiple times with almost no contact back. We have had to repair most of the problems with our own time and money. Took possession with no gas meter on the house. Ice forming under doors. Floor joist not touching beams. Cracking concrete, I can almost stick my finger in. Beam posts not in proper positioning and was refused adjustments. Tape in pictures below shows paint and drywall defects in a small section. Multiply for the rest of the house. I should have kept my last house built by Northridge Developments. We will never buy a home from this company again. Clearly, no heart went into this build. Now, back to work as I'll probably find more things to clean up on my brand new home.

She always kept us informed on the progress of our home, while answering any questions we had promptly and professionally. She took care of us from the moment we met until the day we took possession. MaryAnn was a very trustworthy person, any and all verbal promises made were delivered which demonstrates her integrity. Looking back, it was very calming knowing that you would be looked after by the same person from start to finish. If anyone is looking to purchase a home from Arbutus we would highly recommend working with MaryAnn, you will not be disappointed.Our site superintendent Taylor did a fantastic job. The completion date never changed and the quality of work and lack of deficiencies was impressive. Any small issues pointed out was corrected within 48 hours, again impressive. We are extremely pleased with the service up to and after possession. Its nice seeing the people who built your house still working in the area and continuing to ensure you are satisfied.Eric, who has been in charge of client care after possession has also been outstanding. We had a concern with out HRV unit and sent him and email one afternoon. Himself and a technician were out the next morning to diagnose and correct the issue. Again, we were amazed by this level of service.We have been in the house for over 2 months now and love it. We would recommend Arbutus to anyone looking for a quality home built by quality people who stand behind their product.

We have had such a positive experience with Arbutus Properties as we moved into our new home in Sterling Gate in the Meadows. From the excellent client care we have received from Eric and the quality workmanship in our new home, we couldn’t be happier! Thank you Arbutus!

We love the area, the homes are beautiful. I am writing a not so good review for 2 reasons: A) we purchased our home 3.5 years ago and was promised that in 2 years we would have our alley paved... not the case. We are still waiting. We have contacted Arbutus on multiple occasions throughout this summer and was told that it would be done this season. Well summer has come to an end, still no alley. Tired of having Parking wars with the neighbours. Plus with street sweeping and not being able to access our pad after it rains is super annoying!! Winter is even more fun...NOT! B) we recently had to replace our circuit board on our 3 year old furnace. No warranty...apparently when a furnace is installed the manufacturer has to be notified within 60 days from install to qualify for 10 year warranty. Not informed of this and very disappointed!!...we are still waiting to see if the electrician is successful in maybe finding out if we have or can qualify for a 5 year warranty...fingers crossed! I wish that this was disclosed at time of purchasing the home, so that did not have to dish out $1000 on a 3 yr old furnace. We hope to find out soon if we will get a refund if we do qualify for 5 year warranty.

So happy we decided to build our home with Arbutus! Our home was completed in a timely manner and the entire Arbutus team was professional, attentive to detail and a delight to work with!I loved that we were able to truly customize the finishes in our home and work with their interior designer to personalize our single family home to our taste!We also love the neighborhood and being surrounded by all of these beautiful craftsman style homes! Arbutus has done a great job of setting this neighborhood apart from all of the other new areas in Saskatoon!It can be hard to find a new home with character, but I think that’s what Arbutus does best!

Absolutely horrific work. The company is known for cutting corners and many issues arise in their properties. Cheap, sloppy work with consequences for the buyers/renters.

Top notch! One of the leading home builders in Saskatoon. Great staff, more than accommodating on your house, garage, multiplex, and condos. You definitely get what you pay for and any issues are taken care of - if there actually were any issues. You won't regret it.

Arbutus has developed an unbelievable community in the Meadows. My wife and I could not be happier with our house and the entire Arbutus staff. You can tell they take a lot of pride in their builds and the quality shows, they allowed us to select our own custom finishes to make it our dream home. I feel that they are at the head of the pack in terms of home developers. I would highly recommend Arbutus to anyone who is looking for an amazing house in a great area!
