RBC Royal Bank

After calling rbc insurance for 2 days and hearing the recording that I can go to a branch to purchase travel insurance. When I got here I am told I need an rbc account for them to help even though I have a home insurance policy with rbc insurance. What a total waste of time!!!

My client advisor Mrs. Joan John, today April 24 2019, I personally believe that we need more people like her in all banks and out there in the world, she understands you, noticed what was unsaid and had taken the right steps in guiding me correctly and she thinks for the best of the best for someones future. She has the potential to grow and be the best for the company. Shes the best client advisor I have personally met at a Royal Bank of Canada branches since the day I opened an account (since 2003). I wish her all the best in the future.

Absolutely terrible customer service. I’ve been the victim of a scam twice this year and this branch has done absolutely nothing about it.

I wanted to withdraw a certain amount of usd in 100s they pulled money from my account before even checking if they have enough 100s for the amount I was withdrawing so they gave me 50s instead. I was tired that day I could barley stand so I came back the next day in the morning which is this morning and they said they do not have 100s in usd. So you’re telling me that whole Rbc branch doesn’t have usd 100s what kind of bank is this. I wasn’t withdrawing a large amount and I already have a us account.

Worst RBC branch to deal with. Every time I went their to withdraw money from a account I have POA, they give you a look like you are there to robb them. Even the manager is useless. It happened few times. Now its your loss RBC not mine that I am moving mortgage to other bank and soon will remove all other accounts too.

Worst bank and banking experience ever. They can easily win the worst bank in the world award if there's some award like that. Not sure about other branches but this one definitely deserves 0 stars.

After 2 times enquiring what is going on with my card. They tell me today they are totally hands off and should call and deal with it myself.very poor customer service.

After being tossed between different branches of RBC, I came here to get a particular issue sorted and only person who had a clue about it was JOAN JOHN. The other branch at Hays Blvd messed up something on my file and even telephone representatives could not help. Finally I came to this branch and Joan took out time to personally look into the issue. Not very impressed by RBC otherwise, but Joan deserves due credit.Thank You Joan. 5 stars to her customer service.

I recently visited this specific RBC brand in Oakville and had an amazing experience. The service was top-notch, and I felt heard, appreciated, and given the right advice, thanks to the outstanding support provided by Joan and Dina. They went above and beyond to help me with my banking needs and provided me with excellent advice. I sincerely hope that all employees follow in their footsteps, as the level of customer service I received from them was simply exceptional. I am giving a five-star rating to this branch solely based on the treatment I received from Joan and Dina. Highly recommended!

Probably one of the worst RBC branches. I visited the branch and dealt with Aklima Rojan, who lacks basic customer service skills. She did not greet me or smile and she talked with an attitude. I wanted to exchange US currencies to Canadian currencies. When I asked her about the exchange rate and asked if she can offer me a higher tier (better rate) than the lowest tier which is offered to everyone (clients and non-clients) given the fact that I have been a customer with RBC for many years, she acted surprised as if she did not understand my request and explained that different rates is strictly offered based on the amount, and it is automatically calculated by the system. When I told her that in many previous occasions I have been offered a higher rate tier on other branches and that as a matter of fact, couple of days ago, I was offered the second tier for the same amount on this exact location, she changed her story and said that the exchange rate is at the discretion of the customer representative. When I asked her about her name and position, I was surprised to learn that she is actually the client care manager. This made me wonder, if such bad customer service and attitude is provided by the manager, what can you expect from the rest of the staff.I left the branch and decided not to complete the transaction and went to other RBC branch at Dundas street. The first automatic exchange rate that was offered to me at the Dundas branch (even before negotiating a better rate) was more that the rate that the manager of client care at this location offered me which indicates that she was actually laying and was trying to offer me ever lower rate than what the system offers by default.
