Thinking about renovating or building, you have to check out their displays. And the staff is fantastic!

Used New Dawn to build a house in Fernie, BC. They are the lowest fixed cost builders for a reason! The sub trades they use are horrible. Plumbing company workers came in smelling like alcohol to the job site. I had to get another company to fix their work afterwards because they were too “busy” to come back. Leaking faucets and a puddle in the basement! Their van was labeled BAC Plumbing. They do not have a google registered business of course.

We had New Dawn Developments build our mountain home in Pineridge Mountain Resort located in Invermere BC. We love our new home!! Our salesman, Tom Nopper was exceptional!! Tom went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied with our home. He spent so much time with us to make sure we were happy with our custom home. Tom was very knowledgeable, professional and very pleasant to deal with. Tom took us to many New Dawn show homes to we could see different designs and finishes. This gave us the opportunity to see the quality of workmanship at different stages of the home building process. We were impressed with the quality of workmanship and designs. Tom made sure we were happy with the design we chose that fit our budget and lifestyle.We met with our design specialist Robin who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Robin helped us choose our finishes and colors and we are very happy with our choices. We filled out a workbook with all of our design choices and colors. This ensured that our finishes were ordered right away to there was not delay at installation time or price increases.Also the sited supervisors Stacey, Rob and Chris Hall met us at our house during the building process many times. They explained everything and answered all of our questions. They worked very hard to ensure our house was finished on time and we appreciate their hard work! We moved into our house September 2022 and are extremely happy with it! Any warranty issues or discrepancies were taken care of in a timely manner and to our satisfaction.Overall we were very impressed with New Dawn Developments and we would highly recommend them!

Slow, incompetent, undedicated company, and the list of adjectives could go on and on... They do not bother to please the customer, they simply do as they wish and when they wish. Delays and stand-bys of days and weeks in building progress without any explanations are their specialties. It appears they are nice to you until they get you to sign the contract and then you can expect only disappointments. They also have confidentiality issues. They discuss private business with third parties without the customer's consent. You might be better off with some local builder who simply does a good job and keeps you in the loop than hiring this huge company. Try not to assume that because they are big and have more resources they are also more efficient and organized than smaller builders. That is what we did and all we have got is just more grey hair on our heads while dealing with the NDD representatives. We would never recommend this contractor to anyone!

Never got back to me on a quote for my house build

I hired newdawn developments to finish my house in Fort Mcmurray Alberta everything was good until it came to coming back to doing warranty work . My downstairs bar counter top has come apart about 1/2” it’s been like that now for over a year, my downstairs toilet isn’t braced to the floor properly moves all over the place , Two water Facets don’t work at all , the door going to my garage the door frame is twisted so the door didn’t close properly, my two outside doors don’t seal properly so in cold weather heat Escaping causing frost buildup inside and outside of both doors , my garage walls move with the frost during winter causing huge cracks in the walls and ceiling’s and causing my garage outside door not to be useable during winter. I have pictures, emails and texting to prove everything said here I’m hoping to get all of the above issues fixed soon but I won’t hold my breath on that

Garold and Andy were an in-disposable resource when it came to taking over the rebuild of my rental home which was destroyed in the wild fire of 2016. My original builder, who I suspect was misappropriating my insurance funds, left the project high and dry after 6 months of battling through lawyers over the projects finances. We had all sort of issues to deal with such as workmanship errors, code errors, permit and warranty issues. Garold and Andy helped me resolve a large number of these problems and helped me get renters in the door and collecting rent. They also coached me on how to do certain parts of the project to help save me some money and helped to strategize the best way to complete the project with limited funds. We have a number of issues we are still working on but at least I am finally collecting rent after 2.5 years of paying a mortgage on this rental on not getting anything at all.Thanks guys! Keep up the good work.
